Somebody lower the damn ticket prices to NFL games , who's responsible for that ####?
Who is responsible for these mishaps when the games don't sell out, when soccer clubs aren't doing well their games still sell out. My level of pisstivity is at an all time high, Sunday's game is blacked out!!!!!!
chad seems like such a cool guy. i even thought this previously

I have a feeling he'll actually do this, and he'll most likely donate the tickets to some people who will appreciate it.

As much as he creates a circus, he honestly seems like one of the better people in the league.

He also said he'd change his last name back to Johnson if Revis shut him down last year...

I'd love to see him actually buy them all up, but don't believe it just because he said he would

I remember him buying out theatres and opening them for free to his fans as well as showing up at 'midnight Madden release dates and buying a copy for everyone in the crowd.

Honestly, as much of a good guy and bro Chad sounds like, I think he just does all this to get people to like him because he's such an attention whore

If you follow his twitter account, he does stuff like this a lot in the offseason. Even at the beginning of the year he would fly to the MNF games to watch the other teams...and would post something like "I'm coming to Miami...can someone pick me up at the airport at 4:00?" and when he does travel he will ask fans for a good breakfast or dinner place, and then invite the first X number of people to join him. He takes pics with the fans and posts them to his account. He and Shaq are two of the best at engaging with their fans. (Shaq last year had several times where he said "I'm on the corner of X and Y street, first person to comeup to me and say 'Shazzam' gets two tickets to tonights game" Pretty cool stuff.

Absolutely. So what if he threw a punch at one of his coaches?

So what if he spent an entire offseason not working out, while trashing his team to any open microphone while trying to force a trade?

Good guy. He buys people stuff.

Was wondering when the annual Ochocinco gushing would start.

I'd love to hang out with the dude, he seems like fun.

The people paying you $35million to be a below average #2 WR on a 2-9 team.
Absolutely.

Right....stupid reality, having an anti-Chad bias. So, those things didn't actually happen, or they aren't a big deal in your mind?

The first one probably didn't happen at all. And all we have is competing rumors that don't support each other about what may or may not have happened. And the holdout was barely even a holdout and did not go down the way you try to make it seem.

He's a loudmouth, I grant that but he's clearly a decent guy.

Impressive. Crossing the rubicon

I think your post shows a lot of ignorance and naivete. You don't even know the guy and you're spreading this crap about him. You can't always trust the story that the media paint about a guy. A guy is doing a cool thing but you still hate on him using your preconceived notions that the media created for you. hook line and sinker.

Nearly any star in the NFL is an attention whore. Yet very few of them do this. Doesn't he still deserve props for his actions?

Ocho bought my buddy and his wife dinner this year when the Bengals were in Charlotte. The night before the game, he tweeted where he was eating and the first 85 fans to show up got treated to dinner. He's a Panther fan, but he said he is now an 85 fan for life. He was able to talk to him and he said he is a really nice guy.

The guy is doing some nice things and drawing attention to himself. Why does he have to choose one or the other? Can't he be a nice, generous attention whore?

He's an attention whore in the sense that he will do whatever is necessary to be in the presence of other people and have their undivided attention...which is extremely easy when you're an NFL player and buying dinner.

I am more impressed by the fact that he's doing something cool than I am that he's an attention whore. The latter is pretty well established. What is less known (but should be more known) is he does a lot of good with the attention he solicits.

I'm glad that he's found a way to channel his desire for attention towards positive community activities. Unlike the other prima donna receivers of the NFL, who are all about their own personal needs. (i.e. Randy Moss should ring a bell)I laughed when I heard he was on dancing with the stars and buying his dancing partner rings worth $10k. I think he's just like a little lonely kid, dying for someone to talk to and love him. Sad, but at least he's productive. :goodposting:

In the matter of Chad and Favre and attention whoring, I think they're very different, in that Favre takes himself seriously and Chad realizes it's all entertainment and has fun with it.

Didn't read every post so not sure if anyone stated this but it isn't happening he tweeted earlier that he contacted management and they got back to him and it was to late do to network and league rules. Sorry Bengal fans its blacked out

Read his book and you'd feel differently. He's proud and thankful for where he's at. He gets it. Clearly you don't.

see when you get paid ungodly amounts of money, doing #### like this is just cool. Think of the 1000's of 'normal joes' who get a lil bonus and a brush with celebrity based on ocho's personality/actions. I just think it's cool and wish more athletes would do the same.

this has been said before and usually the powers that be come in and do something IIRC.

ya blackouts have been lifted at the last minute many times. usually, its bc the local networks purchase the remaining tickets. ask jacksonville. what was amazing to me was that the bengals went like 8 yrs without a blackout till that bills game.
