I watched this kid some in college and got to see him in combine footage earlier this year and was very impressed. I thought he was easily the most gifted receiver to come out of this class.

Didn't get to see him play this week but was wondering if anyon who did could offer som feedback. I think if he gets healthy he could have a big year for NE. Anyone else high on this kid?

I'm high on him and also Vinny jackson of SD. Drafted both of them late in my recent dynasty draft and traded for vinny in another league....

Hopefully both can stay healthy, especially CJ since branch is no longer there. Could mean big numbers for him :D

Those are my thoughts...the absence of Branch is a big plus for Chad. Plus if you had seen him at the combine, the guy is a freak athlete...just have to see if he's a football player too.

I was shocked to even see him playing yesterday. He's missed what? 8 weeks of practice? And still comes out and plays extremely well. He's a rookie, who has never practiced with his offense yet, and is still the best WR on the team by a wide margin. Very impressive.

I'm still stratching my head why the Steelers passed on Jackson in round 1 and took S. Holmes. Sure Holmes will probably make a nice #3 Wr/slot receiver/punt returner in the absense of Randle-El departing, but if you scout well you can find a 2nd/3rd rounder WR like that for about $500K per year, not Round 1 cap hit/signing bonus money. Chad Jackson has the makings to be a #1 receiver on a team and worthy of a 1st round selection. Holmes is looking to be a great #3 receiver or average #2 WR at best. Just my opinion though.

i was a little shocked to see him out there yesterday at all, much less catching touchdowns.

i expected him to do zero this year and just sit on him til next year but it would be quite a bonus if he could actually contribute.

As was I. It is definitely a positive sign for Jackson, but I'm still holding back before relying on him as a fantasy WR option in my dynasty league.
