Won five of my last six regular season games to make the playoffs at 9-5 and the #4 seed (tied for 2nd, but 4th based on points). I won easily in the first round and have already won this week even with Jacobs and Williams left to go tonight. This was the league's first season, so hopefully it'll continue next year. The auction draft was enjoyable.

I would be league champion in my league, but in my week 14 matchup, leading by more than 40 points, with just one player left against me on Monday night, I ran into Antonio Bryant. No receiver had had 40 points all year. It was a record for all receivers ever.

That team that beat me then proceeded to cruise to a Superbowl with:

McNabb

S Morris

D Rhodes

A Bryant

Cal Johnson

E Royal

A Gates

S Gostkowski

Patriots DST

Bryant then proceeded to knock me out the following week in another playoff matchup, and in my third league I'm playing him once again and will be trailing by an yet to be determined amount going into Monday's game. I hate Antonio Bryant so, so much.

Normally, I would never post this (for two reasons). 1. Who cares about other peoples leagues and 2. why tempt fate by posting this before the scoring is final?

1. This is the :e: dynasty and some people might be interested in the results, especially because I will be using the board to remind league mates that I am better than they are.

2. With a 50+ point lead and Rodgers still to play I think it is safe to post it.

This is who I started this week.

(10-team, 5 man keeper league) Just became the 1st team (league is 11 years old) to win back-to-back Championships

Started in Superbowl:

QB: Cassel

RB: MJD (keeper)

RB: Slaton

WR: Fitzgerald (keeper)

WR: Colston (keeper)

WR: Houshmanzadeh (keeper - nice ZERO today)

PK: Hartley

DEF:49ers

Bench

QB: Peyton Manning

QB: Tarvaris Jackson

QB: Shaun Hill

QB: Thigpen

RB: Gore (keeper)

RB: Ricky Williams

RB: P Hillis

RB: T Bell

RB: R Rice

WR: Cotchery

WR: T Gonzalez (TEs count as WRs)

WR: K Walter

WR: S Rice

My 5 keepers for 2009 will be Gore, MJD, Slaton, Colston and either Houshmanzadeh or Thigpen (keeper costs you a draft pick one round better than where you took him - I've had Fitz since his rookie year and next year he'll cost me a 1st rounder to keep so it's probably time to cut him loose, Manning was my 1st round pick this year so he can't be kept).

it was an up and down season...lost brady, lost romo for 4 games, traded turner for bush in week 5 lost him immediately, traded cassel right before his big game vs jets for ronnie, who subsequently became crap, lost steve smith for the first 2 weeks...bought low on grant and braylon for witten and and holmes, traded graham and stewart for calvin during the kitna back problem, traded chris johnson for steven jackson for the playoff push...almost backfired...but wtf...Im still a champion baby!!! This year i relied on alot of luck!!! but who cares baby when you have two bobble head trophies to show for it!

Talk about tempting fate....in my main money league im up 16 ATM but my opponent has Deangelo. I CANT imagine he could put up 17 points in the 2nd half. Plus i still have Forte on Monday night. But if i blew this, it would truly be unparalleled.

10 team league, 1st pick overall, zero trades made all season. Got it all locked up with Deangelo's first TD of the night.

QB: A. Rodgers

RB: Deangelo, baby!

RB: LT

Flex: Kevin Smith

WR: Fitz

WR: Wayne

WR: Antonio Bryant - who doesn't have him on their championship roster? - picked him up after his big game in week 3 vs the Bears

TE: Owen Daniels

DEF: Tennessee

K: Nedney

Notable bench players: Brandon Marshall, Garrard, and T. Choice

QB: Jay Cutler, Shaun Hill

RB: Pierre Thomas, Matt Forte, Chris Johnson, Reggie Bush, Ronnie Brown, Maurice Morris, Adrian Peterson (CHI),

WR: Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Marques Colston

TE: Owen Daniels

K: Garrett Hartley

DEF: Philadelphia

Starters in bold. .5 PPR 3-life time 14-team keeper league. Joseph Addai was my first round pick. He was part of a trade that landed me Larry Fitzgerald.

Won 74.5-71.5 despite over thinking things, dropped Gostkowski and went with Prater due to storm in Foxboro. Opted for Rivers over Cassel for same reason and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

12 team keeper league, keep 8, sort of a small scale dynasty feel to it.

QB: Phillip Rivers (Offensive MVP)

RB: Ladanian Tomlinson

RB: Steven Jackson

Flex: Ronnie Brown

WR: Randy Moss

WR: Roddy White

K: Matt Prater

D: James Harrison (Defensive MVP)

D: Joey Porter

D: Karlos Dansby

This was my second title but was the most satisfying, started off 1-5 after Tom Brady went down on me, had to trade Chris Johnson for Rivers to save my season. I have Housh on the bench as he has busted on me all year and will not be back next year. Key offseason decisions will be LT status and what to do with Rivers, Brady & Cassel, will only keep 2 of the 3.

14 Team Dynasty League. Went from one of the worst to the champion.

Starters:

QB Drew Brees

RB Matt Forte

RB Deangelo Williams

RB Tashard Choice

WR Isaac Bruce

WR Bernard Berrian

TE Vernon Davis

PK Nate Kaeding

Bench:

QB Tarvaris Jackson

RB Darren McFadden

RB Deuce McAllister

RB Darren Sproles

RB Selvin Young

WR Donnie Avery

WR Deion Branch

WR Justin Gage

WR Mark Clayton

WR James Jones

TE David Martin

Background:

My team was originally built around a core of Carson Palmer, Tiki Barber, Deuce McAllister and Deangelo Williams. With Barber retiring and McAllister, McAllister constantly injured, Deangelo not living up to exceptions and very little WR production my was very bad. I did make a couple of early finds by picking up Berrian, Sproles and Selvin Young before they were factors.

In the offseason I mainly looked to build for the future. Being a salary cap league the contracts came into play. The Brees owner was looking to trade him to gain a little bit of flexibility with two other starters on his team. I picked Brees up cheaply and traded Palmer for a rookie draft pick. In free agency, I looked for productive vets and picked up Bruce, Gage, Branch, Clayton and kept Berrian. In the rookie draft I picked up McFadden and Forte in the 1st round, Donnie Avery in the 2nd. Choice was cut in the preseason and I scooped him up quickly.

My team then came around at the right time of the season, going on a winning streak by riding hot streaks by a few of my role players. I sneak into the playoffs and won last week on Choice's late TD. That beat a team that's stacked for many years featuring Adrian Peterson, Jones-Drew, Portis, Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson and Antonio Bryant. In the championship game I'm up by 45 with Forte yet to play and he only has Jennings left.

12 team redraft, no ppr.

Favre/Hill/Garcia

MBIII/Turner/Bush/DeAngelo (via trade just before he blew up)

Andre Johnson (Traded TO for him)/Calvin Johnson/Colston/Holmes/Winslow

Hartley

Colts D

QB had kept me in the pack, only because I have started Favre ONLY in the games he was bad. I have sat him in every game in which he was good, including the 6 TD game. #3 seed headed into playoffs.

Bolded were my starters in the Super Bowl this week. Won it handily (in spite of him having Brees and Thomas vs. Detroit and ADP), and in great shape to take home total points $ as well.
