CHAMPIONSHIP! Brag about your win here! (1 Viewer)

I won it all, but it took the most active waiver use I have ever had. Here was my draft (drafted 10th with snake draft):

Round 1: Randy Moss

Round 2: Steven Jackson (Bulging disk in back, missed championship)

Round 3: Ronnie Brown (IR – out for season)

Round 4: Kevin Smith (IR – out for season)

Round 5: Anthony Gonzales (IR – out for season)

Round 6: Santonio Holmes (healthy at least)

Round 7: Jay Cutler (worst pick easily)

Round 8: Leon Washington (IR – out for season)

Round 9: Fred Taylor (Hasn’t played in 9 weeks, dropped him long ago, might be back in week 16)

Desperate for RB help so traded for Steve Slaton (IR first game on my roster – out for season)

Here was my final lineup:

Smith, Alex QB SF (Rotated him and Vince Young)

Ganther, Quinton RB WAS

Stewart, Jonathan RB CAR

Austin, Miles WR DAL

Moss, Randy WR NE J

Holmes, Santonio WR PIT (Flex)

Hartley, Garrett K NO

Saints DST

LUCKY!

QB Big Ben

RB Mendenhall

RB Grant

RB/WR Harrison

WR Steve Smith (CAR)

WR AJ

TE Witten

K Graham

DEF Falcons (waiver wire fill in)

Won by .15 of a point.

The WW was very good to me this year:

Drafted:

Keeper: MJD

1st- Megatron

2nd-no pick due to trade the previous season

3rd-Kevin Smith

4th- Romo and Eddie Royal

5th- Greg Olsen and Donald Brown

6th-Roy Williams

7th- Beanie Wells

8th- Jamal Lewis

9th- Garrard

10th- Dallas

All-in-all, an awful draft.

My final roster:

QB- Manning and Romo (cost me a future 3rd to snag Peyton)

RB- Ryan Grant, MJD, Jamal Charles (snagged Grant in a trade for Kevin Smith, Charles off the WW)

WR- Megatron, MSW, Sidney Rice, Boldin (MSW and Rice off WW, Boldin in deal for Wells)

TE- Celek (the one flyer I took in the draft that worked out)

K- Crosby

DEF-Tennessee (got lucky this didn't cost me)

Won my 4th title in 11 years......my team (draft round listed)

QB - McNabb (4)

RB - Rice (5), R Wiliams (trade), Charles (14)

WR - A Johnson (2), S Smith (NYG) (17)

TE - V Davis (18)

K - Kaeding (15)

D - DAL (ww)

Bench - Orton (trade), Moreno (6), D Brown (8), S Holmes (7), S Moss (trade), A Bryant (11), Avery (ww), Boss (ww), Feeley (ww)

I hit the jackpot in the middle/late rounds, getting Rice in the 5th, S Smith in 17th, V Davis in the 18th, and Charles in the 14th. Traded for Ricky Williams and the next week R Brown got hurt.....

This made up for my LT 1st round pick and D Bowe 3rd round pick....both busts. This shows that you can win your league and bust on your 1st round pick.

a little premature, but barring very strange stats tonight, back to back championships:

14-1, 2nd most points scored for Ring number 6.

Championship game starting lineup:

It's usually silly to tell people about the quality of their league in here, but considering you've started a thread to boast, I think it'll be fine this time.Your league must really suck balls. With those numbers, it has to. That can't be too much fun, matching FF knowledge with half-interested people, no?
I'm pretty sure you don't care but since you wasted your time needling me, I'll waste my time replying. I've been in this league for 14 years, with 90% of the same owners since day 1. We have a $400 entry fee, so i'm pretty damn sure everyone cares and puts their time and effort into it. What can I say? I drafted right, stayed healthy and won my league. Sorry if you didn't fare so well in yours, if you have an opening, I'll gladly join your league and win that one too. ;)
Hmm, I was curious how many years yours has been around. 14, and you are almost batting .500?Yeah, winning a league almost half the time tells me you are not playing amongst equals. I didn't say there is something wrong with it, I am just stating a fact. You interpret that to mean you are very good; I interpret it to mean most of your competition is weak.

And a $400 entry fee doesn't mean everyone cares, at all. Obviously you do quite a bit, but that stuff is all relative.

Anyway, congrats.

:D I hear ya, and you may be right. But I like to think I'm just that good! ;) Plus I don't have the heart to tell the rest of the league that they suck! I'll just keep putting my name on the trophy and let them keep hating me. :)

Won both my money leagues with #1 seed and most points during the season in both.

12 teamer:

QB - Rodgers

RB - Gore

RB - Rice

Flex - Mason

WR - AJ

WR - Marshall

TE - Celek

K - Kaeding

LB - Willis

DE - Spencer

DB - Bell

14 teamer:

QB - McNabb

RB - CJ

RB - Grant

Flex - Amendola (KR yards!)

WR - AJ

WR - DeSean

TE - Winslow

K - Kaeding

DEF - Ari

Been the #1 seed 4 years in a row in the 14 teamer, feels good to be the champ finally. Also currently #1 in the Best Buy FBG group (although I didn't enter a lineup this week, doh).

Enough bragging for me though, I want to thank all the FBG's on this forum for getting me pumped up about guys like Ray Rice and MSW. Congrats to all the winners.

I'm in 3 decent-sized money leagues. Not one fields 12 guys that are all into it. And I'm fine with that; might even like it better that way. Still, nobody wins at even a .300 clip because they all enough to keep everyone "honest". And a few really know their ####.If it were real life and something that mattered, then sure, you want to be pushed to your limits. But I don't really care when it comes to gambling entertainment, which is what this is.

After apparently losing in the Semis, I get delivered a Christmas Miracale when Warner loses his td. Go into the Monday night down 50 with ADP, Cutler and Rice vs Longwell, Take the lead on the Rice TD on 4th down at the end of regulation and beat the best fantasy team we have ever had in our dynasty league to become the first back to back champion in our league. It's been a good night! And I take back everything bad I ever said about Cutler this makes two titles he has delivered to me.

15-0 perfect season (first round bye in playoffs) in a 14 team very competitive Dynasty League (Phenomz Dynasty).

Lessons:

1. Get it right with the No. 1 pick, and with that go big on the RB.

2. Research on RB2, get the cheap but very valuable sleeper and go wide and late.

3. Get a reliable every week QB.

4. Go heavy and stack up on defenses for the last 3 weeks several weeks in advance.

5. Take some chances on trades and build depth based on any 1-2 marquis players you may have.

CONGRATS EVERYBODY!!!!!

Went 2 for 2 this year. In one league it was a repeat title and the other it is actually a 3peat. Sometimes FF is fun; maybe I should retire. :excited:

Thanks and congrats! Your league is actually not one of the ones I was talking about, no offense. I consider a bigger money league around 500 and up. And for others that's nothing, of course. Again, all relative, blah, blah, blah... Anyway, lol at the dude from jail, you should have told me who he was. Funny ####. Nice job destroying us this year. It was nice to be back in.

Looks a lot like my team. Rodgers, ADP, Rice and the injured Ronnie Brown. :wall:

Like many others on this post, it was trades and the waiver wire that did it for me this year. Inaugural season of our 12 team Office Redraft League. My initial roster included:

QB - Schaub

QB - Berger

RB - DWill

RB - Grant

RB - Moreno

RB - M. Bush

WR - Wayne

WR - Jennings

WR - Holmes

TE - Olsen

Spun off a trade early sending Schaub away for Forte and S. Smith (Car)

Mid season trade (b/c I was looking ahead to the playoff weeks) got me Beanie and JStew for Grant and Bush.

Picking up Fred Davis for Week 15 was the difference in my 3 point win. Picking up J. Finley and the Atlanta D/ST this week won me the SB.

:wall:

I won my 12 team 2QB PPR/IDP league on ADP's 2nd TD and lost a another league on the final play, which put Chicago over 35 points (damn you Robbie Gould) - all in all a successful year!

Starters on the winning team yesterday...

Tony Romo

Josh Freeman

Brandon Marshall

Steve Smith (CAR)

Derrick Mason

Adrian Peterson

Frank Gore

Vernon Davis

Beanie Wells

Ryan Longwell

Arizona

Julius Peppers

Clay Matthews

Brian Dawkins

Paul Posluszny

I won, basic scoring, soem yardage bonuses (300 for QB, 100 for RB/WR, 50 for TE), 10 team keeper

R. Moss

Fitz

I beat:

Dallas Clark

Title game lineup:

A Rodgers

RWilliams

JCharles

RMoss

AJohnson

SRice (late TD won it for me)

GHartley

Minny D

Drafted 12th in a PPR.

1-Moss

2-AJohnson

3-RGrant

4-ARodgers

5-LJohnson

6-Cotchery

7-Hester

8-DBrown

9-JMorgan

10-Hightower

11-RWilliams

Made no trades. Picked up JCharles while everyone else was going wild bidding on SGreene. Picked up SRice an hour before kickoff week 6 when he went for 175+ yards.

Finished 3rd in my other league and would have won that one if Deangelo hadn't gotten hurt early in week 15.

Ok.....yes I am sick.. and I am in 14 leagues. 12 dynasty 1 three player keeper and 1 redraft. I had a damm good year all things considered.

3 - Championships (3 Dynasty leagues thank you ADP for coming through last night for 2 of those)

6 - Third Place Finsihes ( 4 dynasty, keeper, redraft)

1 - 4th place (dynasty)

So we turned a nice profit this season. I do need to cut back though......5 years I have had all these leagues and it is becoming work. I mean wow....a lot of work.

I want this top be more fun again. So some serious thinking this off-season at shedding some great teams.

Championship line ups were

QB - Peyton Manning

RB - ADP

RB - CJ3

WR - Steve Smith (car)

WR - Donald Driver

WR - Josh Morgan

WR - Manningham

TE - Gates

K - Bironas

DEF - Atlanta

QB - Eli Manning

WR - Welker

WR - Manningham

How did you end up with this team in a 12 team keep 3 league? There's not a guy on that roster that could have been drafted outside of the 7th round.

Finally won in a 3rd season dynasty where I have had the best team all 3 years. Got unlucky the first 2 years during the playoffs, but finally got the title this year.

This weeks starters:

Garrard (benched Cutler)

AD

MJD

Ray Rice

Marshall

VJack (benched Wayne)

VD

Birones

Was down by 0.1 prior to Minny's fourth and goal last ditch effort. I won on Rice's TD... What's funny, I was hoping for a TD to Rice, but more than that, just a TD period. I had AP, Rice, Winfield, Allen, and Briggs, so I figured if the game went to overtime, I'd be able to manage two tenths of a point somewhere. Had someone other than Rice scored that TD, I'd have gained the lead on AP's catch and run, and then lost if on his fumble. Thank goodness if was Rice who scored... I'm very grateful that Shiancoe wasn't in the game since he seems to be Favre's favorite target down there...

Anyway, 10 team fourth year dynasty with IDP's, my starters were:

Warner

AP

Moreno

Fitz

Boldin

Marshall

Rice

Gates

Kaeding

Allen

Carter

Willis

Ryans

Fletcher

Briggs

Winfield

G. Wilson

Bench:

Carson

Ryan

Turner (his injury killed me down the stretch, forced me into 4 wide)

Portis (IR)

Washington (IR)

Hilliard

Foster

Weaver

Jennings

Harvin

Nicks

Cribbs

Odom (IR)

Tulloch

A. Wilson (should have started him)

My draft:DeAngeloCalvinRodgersPierreDeSeanSantanaRiceFelixWashingtonAveryCasselBossDolphinsShayne GrahamMy final roster:QB: RodgersRB: Gore, Rice, F. JacksonWR: R. Moss, V. Jax, R. Meachem, D. BoweTE: Celek, F. Davis, D. Thomas (Thomas a grab just to keep from opponent)K: BironasD: Cards (had stashed); Falcons (grabbed to keep from opponent)As you can see, huge turnover and some hits and misses (VJax for DJax) but I was very aggressive on the WW and in trades and held no attachment to players and found that to be a good methodology. I overpaid in each trade but it was worth it for the most part. Some notable guys not on final roster but that I grabbed and used either in the lineup or in trades include Beanie (picked up after I think week 6), Austin Collie (a very late drop for some playoff positioning), and Mike Bell. Was super worried going in and thought I'd likely lose to:Big BenBenson (sure to blow up)MendyAJ (see Benson)FitzHarvinBossKaedingPatriotsOnly Boss and maybe Harvin were suspect in that lineup.I countered with:Rodgers (but was worried about no opposition limiting his PT and that came to fruition)GoreRiceR. MossV Jax (let down of a performance combined with Bironas' weak stat line on Xmas day left me pretty sure I'd lose)MeachemF. Davis (ugh sat Celek because of Denver D vs. TE and overall pass D plus all the Eagle wideouts that were available to pass to)BironasCards (could've scored a bit more with Falcons)Won 117-85.

I won my third overall championship in 10 years of playing. But since I began subscribing to Footballguys five years ago, I've made enough money to pay for all my entry fees, with some profit left. This year's win is in my main league, though -- and the title I've been chasing for years.

12 team, PPR, 6 pt. rush/pass/rec TDs, 1 pt. for every 10 yards rushing/passing

I picked 12th in a serpentine draft.

My Week 16 lineup:

QB Ben Roethlisberger (5th)

RB Ray Rice (keeper from last year -- worth a 6th-round pick)

RB Fred Jackson (8th)

WR Andre Johnson (1st)

WR Randy Moss (2nd)

TE Antonio Gates (4th)

Flex Santonio Holmes (7th)

PK Dan Carpenter (FA)

D Eagles (11th)

Bench:

RB Kevin Smith (3rd)

RB Kevin Faulk (12th)

RB Maurice Morris (FA pickup)

RB Derrick Ward (FA pickup)

QB David Garrard (9th -- ugh. Never again.)

QB Jay Cutler (FA pickup)

WR Nate Burleson (14th)

TE Greg Olsen (10th -- seemed like a steal on draft day)

I finished in third place in the regular season, missing out on second place (and a first-round bye) by a half-point. But I scored the most points in the league and was high scorer in two of three playoff weeks.

I play in 2 money leagues and really don't think you should brag about a title unless you are in a money league.

That said, I won one of those leagues this year, finishing 13-3 and setting the league record for points scored in a season. The league has been around for 9 years, and this is my third year being a part of it, and my first title there. Overall, this is my first money league title since 2003. So I am pretty stoked to take home a trophy.

The league is a keep 2 league, and I kept Chris Johnson and Rodgers.

Congrats to all the champs!

12-team non-PPR, quasi-Dynasty as we keep 7 every year with no penalty. Was 6-7 last year, turned it around with trades and drafting to go 10-3, points champ (by 1) and won it all thanks to ADP and Rice last night.

QB: Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, Matt Ryan (Warner acquired for Reggie Bush at the deadline for his playoff schedule)

RB: ADP, Ray Rice, Chester Taylor, Sammy Morris, LeRon McLean, Lex Hilliard, James Davis

WR: Reggie Wayne, DeSean Jackson, Sidney Rice, Dwayne Bowe

TE: Vernon Davis, Greg Olsen

PK: Nate Kaeding, Jeff Reed

Third title in 12 years in this league. In a retro fact, Kurt Warner was my QB when I won my first title back in 2000.

Pulled it off last night on the back of Peterson.

The championship lineup:

Brady, Peterson, Jones-Drew, Deshaun Jackson, Driver, Witten, Bironas and the Minn defense.

My team set a single season scoring record (by quite a large margin) in a league that is in its 16th season. Still, I got lucky to win the championship game last night...my opponent just underperformed my underperformers. The 3rd place game saw both participants outscore either of the championship game teams.

qb - Brees

rb - Gore, R Williams

wr - DeSean Jackson, Welker, Sims-Walker

k - Kaeding

dl - Justin Smith, Shaun Ellis

lb - Willis, Laurinaitas

db - M Lewis, Adrian Wilson

flex - Curtis Lofton

bench -

Matt Ryan

Forte, Coffee, Morris, Bell

Jennings

Ogunleye

Bulluck

Polomalu, Delmas

The guy I beat had the second highest scoring on the year and his team was hot throughout the playoffs...until last night when Jared Allen couldn't get him the 11 points he needed to win.

First title in this league since 2001. Second overall in this 12 team PPR, redraft since 1994.

I still say luck is 90% of winning a title in H2H. Except this year, in this league, it was 100% skill...I mean 100% luck.

Won two leagues

10 team dynasty, 10th year, 1st time winning.

Schaub, Ch Johnson, J Charles, Boldin, VJAX, Finley, K Brown, Packers

Against opponent's Moss and Peterson. Had other big names but didn't go off.

12 team redraft, 4th in a row playoffs, 2nd championship

Schaub, Grant, M Floyd, DJAX, Wayne, F Davis, Kaeding, Packers

Got lucky with my opponent's Manning and Clark. I had sat Wayne but the late scratch of SJAX made me reinsert my only option, Wayne. His 5pt in PPR was the difference.
