I know its been mentioned in a lot of other threads, but what is the possibility that they do it.

Supposedly they called Thomas Jones. Nothing happened. They have Bell/Dayne (and others) on roster, who could definitely fill the role of Bell/Anderson. They have seemed calm so far, but I would think they would want someone before/in the beginning of camp.

Are they looking for someone else? Will they use what they got?

Choose your rumor du jour...1.) Thomas Jones2.) Chris Brown3.) Kevan Barlow4.) Travis Henry5.) Bologna sandwichI believe if Shanahan can improve his RBs, he will. If not, get used to seeing Dayne and Bell.

Since when did Thomas Jones become the cure for a team's RB woes? Now, I know most of you will quickly chime in that he's had two 1000+ years in Chicago, yet most of you were also down on him and catgorized him as a turd for many, years. Now all of you guys get a stiff little pickle at the thought of him being in Denver.Wake up and smell the coffee (yes, I pissed in it). Ron Dayne is of the same draft class as Thomas Jones, and Ron Dayne came out of college much more heralded than Jones. In addition, one huge difference...Ron Dayne IS, let me repeat, IS in Denver. Tatum Bell IS in Denver. One of them will do well. And if it happens to be Dayne, all of you that have called Dayne a turd for many years will all of a sudden get a stiff pickle for him in next years drafts and pretend like you liked him all along. Fantasy football, too many yuppies in this hobby.

I've heard CHRIS BROWN say he wants to come to Denver, but I've never heard of any interest on Denver's part. I've also heard a lot of people linking Denver to Kevan Barlow because Denver and SF were in talks before the draft, but Denver was never interested in Barlow (it turns out they were just trading draft picks- Denver's #22 overall for SF's 2nd and 3rd rounders). I've never heard any rumors connecting Travis Henry to the Broncos. So far, the only rumor I've heard where Denver has been interested in another RB has been Thomas Jones (reportedly the Bears declined).

I'm not so sure. I thought he could improve his RBs with the Lelie for Duckett trade yet he passed.
Not too say the talks won't fire back up. I can see this happening if the falcons see good things from Norwood and Denver gets antsy to unload Leslie.
Denver already turned down Duckett for Lelie once... and they aren't going to get antsy to unload Lelie, since his trade value just keeps going up (see: Pinkston, Todd and Finneran, Brian).I really don't see Denver accepting Duckett for Lelie unless Atlanta throws something more into the pot. They already turned down the trade once, and Shanahan has proven himself to be a masterful trader. The general consensus is that he's gotten the better end of every single trade he's made over the past several years. I expect that to continue with Lelie. As for the original question... to be honest, I just don't know. Personally, I think at this point the only RB that might get brought in is Thomas Jones. I think Denver at this point is more interested in moving Lelie for a TE or a draft pick. All of this goes out the window if we start looking at multi-team trades or package deals. I really don't know who they're going to wind up with in return... but my gut tells me that unless the Bears back off of their Thomas Jones stance, Lelie isn't going to get trade for an RB.

OUTSOURCE?
10 guys on the field and a RB in Bangalore.
:lmao: :lmao: "we'll con-call you into the huddle, what time is it there?"
:excited:
The Packers have Green, Davenport, and Gado all signed to 1 year deals. Why more people are not seeing that one will likely be traded is beyond me. The Pack cant trade Green, because he is a figure in GB, so that leaves Gado or Davenport. One of those 2 guys will not be Packers when the season begins.

 Did you lose your meds?

Denver has a chance to win the Super Bowl this year and I doubt Shanahan would've gone into training camp with the current RB corp if he wasn't happy with them. He's had plenty of options through the trade market, draft and free agency to upgrade and has chose not to. While I would love to see Barlow in their backfield, I find it highly unlikely that he will make any moves. I expect a Dayne/Bell combo with the possibility of Cobbs taking carries away from Dayne.

There is no way Denver waited till now to try and deal with their backfield.

Denver has gone into the seaosn with many RBs who everyone was down on and they perofrmed well, so why is everyone running scared now.
