Changing passwords on internet on phone (1 Viewer)

I have some message boards on my lap top that automatically come up on boot up where I have passwords saved. No bank or credit card stuff. If I change the passwords on the phone internet will it still boot up with me logged in those sites? Laptop at repair probably with shady person and didn't think to log out of them first.

Most of the time, if they're actively on when you reset the password, they'll remain. But your laptop is in pieces, right? They'd have to do a fresh sign in, and your laptop's saved passwords would be invalid.

You'll be fine.

Thanks. I won't change them then.

Um, if they're saved, and someone has your laptop, you absolutely should change them if you're worried about them logging in.

I was saying IF you change them,  it won't boot up with you still logged in. If that's your desired outcome, then change the passwords.

Sorry. I'm on meds that make me fuzzy.  So I change them and they won't come up on my laptop with me already logged in. Right?

Look at it this way, if your password contains a child's birth date, hackers have a one in eleventy-nine million chance in guessing it.

If the dude working on your laptop is shady, skip changing passwords until you get home from picking up your laptop. Pronto!
