**Chargers at Steelers** (-2.5, 35) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

This game is one of the more fascinating of the week for me. I am interested to see if the Charger running attack can still thrive without Herbert steering the ship. If they prove that they can it will be hard not to see this team as a legitimate contender.
Herbert out?
24 seconds agoLos Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (ankle) is preparing as though he will play in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. However, Herbert is still viewed as a game-time decision as the Chargers want to evaluate him further during pregame warmups. The former first-round pick has completed 31 of 46 passes for 274 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception this year. He also has 24 rushing yards and a lost fumble. Herbert ranks as a mid-to-low fantasy QB1 if he suits up. In the event that his high-ankle sprain is too much to play through, the Chargers would turn to either Easton Stick or Taylor Heinicke.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

With it being only week 3, seems risky to play him with that injury against a team like Pittsburgh who loves to get after the QB..

Depends on your options doesn't it?

Yeah, but at this point of it only being week 3, I would sacrifice a game to give my franchise QB a chance to get healthy, instead of throwing him out there to take a bigger chance of getting a more serious injury..

I fear for a gimpy Herbert if he starts this game.
Would he finish it?
If Herbert starts and can move a little this could be a vert entertaining low scoring game.
If Herbert doesn't start this could be a very meh low scoring game.
I'm gonna say Harbaugh has been blowing smoke and Herbert doesn't start...

Steelers- 19
Chargers- 6

Wow, I'm on the opposite side of this take. This looks to be a boring game with both teams grinding it out, probably three yards at a time. Herbert probably doesn't play. Maybe Fields brings a little pizzazz, but even as a Steelers fan, I'm not venturing to the local bar to watch this one. I'll catch whatever else my local channels show, probably the Eagles.

I am old school and love smash mouth football but understand your viewpoint. Looks like Herbert is starting so depending how he can perform would change things a bit. Still interested to see if the Chargers can run wild on a good defense like Pitt.

Man, Steelers offense seriously might be the worst offense they have had in a long time.. I thought the Duck Hodges year was bad, but it was a bit better than this.

I thought the same thing about why risking Herbert by putting him in harms way with a heavily tapped ankle. But at times his mobility looked pretty good to the point my mind was questioning his injury. But then I thought your not in his shoes plus you don't know if he is taking painkillers or has a high toletance for pain.
