It is easily the deepest position on the team. But they may need all of that depth. Godfrey and Foley both had injury issues last year, and they are the types of injuries that could resurface. The team is perfectly happy starting Cooper and Phillips, respectively, in their place; and Tim Dobbins is being spoken of highly as well. Carlos Polk missed the 2005 season with an injury, but he is back. Wilhelm was re-signed, and Marques Harris also has intriguing talent.Unless they keep ten guys, the Chargers are going to be cutting a few very capable players at the LB position.
