Charles Grant versus Green Bay orJohn Abraham versus Tampa BayOur league gives 1.5 points for both tackles & assists and 3 points for Sacks/Int/FFGreen Bay has given up more sacks, and but Abraham has been more productive... I already have Vilma and will have a bye issue when the NYJ are on bye week.Let me know your thoughts..Thanks

Tackles are relatively overvalued in this system, particularly assists. Grant routinely puts up 5 tackle games; even when healthy, 5 tackle games are relatively rare for Abraham.Grant's poor production during the first three weeks was probably due to a minor toe injury, which looks to not be limiting him any longer. Very reasonable to assume the real Grant will stick around and last week's production is closer to the norm than the exception for the rest of the season.

Not that Abraham is a bad option, but right now Dwight Freeney may be the only DE I start over Grant, all other variables equal.

I think Grant will have a big week. i think Abraham will have a big week. I like Grant better long term...but they are my two starting DLs so I am biased. On bye week I hav to start Kampman...that sucks.

Abraham is the better option, now and long term. JMO.
Interesting take. I have them pretty close as well, but what makes you say with such certainty that Abrajham is better long term. Is it the SOS for both players for the remainder of the season or more of a gut feel?I literally have them within 5 tackles of each other with Grant getting 2 more sacks than Abraham. However, that is assuming a healthy Grant. He looked REAL healthy last week.

Yes, but remember Abraham held out until literally the week before the season started. I think Abraham is a better pass rusher, and is quicker, and seems to have that "big play" potential. Not taking anything away from Grant at all, but I just like Abraham better. Last week, the first play of the game, Abraham had a tackle, a sack, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. It was nullified by a neutral zone penalty, but it would have been an amazing score for one play had it not been nullified. With that said, my guess people's views are close to 50/50. You can't go wrong with either, but if I had to pick one, it would be Abraham.

I have no respect for J Abraham. The dude did not want to play in the playoffs not to aggravate his injury and miss on a big contract. He was apparently not in too bad shape and could have played. I don't like T.O., but the guy played the SB on one leg because he wants to win. J Abraham is the opposite.Abraham is a good player however. But because of the matchup, the Packers are more likely to pass often than the Bucs, especially with A Green out. I would go with C Grant.

I don't have respect for 3/4 of the players in the NFL. It doesn't mean that I wouldn't have them on my fantasy team.

Both of these guys forgot to show up on Sunday....grrrrrr.My bench player Aaron Kampman outscored them combined.

It does happen from time to time, ya know.
I know, just a bad week to happen. I wound up losing to my division foe and archrival by 4 points. I knew I should have started Nick Ferguson instead of Ed Reed...but Grant and Abraham ultimately proved to be the difference as I had good days from every other player.
