Sorry to waste a topic on this loser, but:

NOVI, Mich. (AP) -- A judge has jailed ex-Detroit Lions top draft pick Charles Rogers for violating probation in a domestic violence case.

"I'm just going to do my 10 days, get out of the court system and try to get in shape for a comeback," Rogers said Wednesday in a telephone interview with The Associated Press from the Oakland County jail. "Am I sad about the way my life has turned out? No, because I know the strides I've made to take care of Charles Rogers."

Court records show the 27-year-old ex-Michigan State star receiver tested positive for alcohol and falsified records saying he attended Alcoholic Anonymous meetings.

"I was wrong," he said. "I'm not perfect."

A judge in suburban Detroit granted Rogers' request Tuesday to leave a diversion program and serve 30 days in the Oakland County jail, with credit for 15 days served.

Rogers was the NFL's second overall pick in 2003. The Lions signed him to a six-year, $55 million deal, but injuries sidelined him most of his first two seasons. He was cut in 2006.

Rogers was charged in September with assaulting his fiancee and pleaded guilty to trespassing.

When you are a never has been.....don't you need to stop referring to yourself in the 3rd person?

Give me a break stinky fish, it's at times like these that a man must refer to himself in the third person.

I believe you can only refer to yourself in the 3rd person if you are a professional wrestler or someone that has slept with a Victoria Secrets model.

DYNASTY SLEEPER ALERT!!!
To fair(I know it's a strange concept) he was doing well until 2 broken collar bones 2 years in a row. Add to that he played for Detroit. I wonder how he would have doe on a team without Matt Millen.
Millen broke his collarbones?Worse GM then I thought.

Ex-Lions WR Rogers due in Novi court today

BY MATT HELMS

FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER

Troubled former Detroit Lion Charles Rogers is scheduled to appear in a Novi courtroom today, apparently on another probation violation in his ongoing battle with substance abuse.

Novi Deputy Police Chief Tom Lindberg said this morning that Rogers was found slumped over at a table On the Border Restaurant in Novi Tuesday afternoon, and employees who couldn’t wake him called 911. Police and emergency medical personnel were sent to the restaurant on Haggerty Road.

“He was showing signs of intoxication and was uncooperative, and at that point our officers determined that he had a warrant out for his arrest,” Lindberg said.

Rogers was jailed overnight on a warrant for failure to comply with rules of sobriety court, an intensive drug and alcohol monitoring program. He is to appear at 11 a.m. today before Judge Robert Bondy in 52-1 District Court.

The former wide receiver for the Lions was cut from the team in 2006. He was arrested in September after police found him passed out behind the wheel of a 2003 Mercedes at Meadowbrook and 8 Mile roads. His sentencing on a guilty plea for operating while impaired in that case had been delayed so he could enter the sobriety court program.

I guess Rogers didn't spend much time in math class either. How does he know how much change he's supposed to get when he's buying his dub sacks?
