Cheatsheets vs. Dominator (1 Viewer)

This was the second year in a row that one team in my league used DD and I printed Cheatsheets from FBG. He doesn't know I'm using FBG but I know what he's using. Again today, like last year, he told me the program shows I'll have the best total points for the year. Last year I did.

why go through the trouble and sit there with a laptop when two pieces of paper will do the job? Maybe if you're going to just go strictly with what the program spits out but what fun is that.

anyway, thanks FBG. Your cheatsheets definately are the best guide!

I've used the DD the last two years, and the program is extremely well written...

but I miss how simple the draft used to be for me when I just used a cheatsheet.. and the FBG cheatsheet is very compact and effective.

I'm really thinking about switching back to cheatsheets next year.

Hell, why even use the cheatsheets...just bring a bottle of booze and a couple strippers...and let your football knowledge shine.

Or you could use DD AND a cheatsheet...a draft day strategy that has worked very well for me. And whatever fun you miss out on during the draft is made up for during the championship celebration!! :lmao:

Holla,

I used both the DD and VBD sheets last year. DD was used at main draft that is done in the basement and was not worried about computer being damaged. Had most points scored but lost game before Super bowl for the 6th time. At the bar leagues I played in used the cheatsheets, won the total points title.

Presonally I like the cheatsheets and a form to track all the teams in my league. 2 pens, cheatsheets, and draft tracker get the job done. This year I am bring in a folder with the training camp updates and articles printed out. Will drive guys crazy that I have that much research at my hands.

I've been using the DD for all my drafts, but with my tweaked projections. It's helpful because (among many other things) it keeps track of how many at each position have been drafted, and I can quickly see who in front of me / behind me might be targeting a specific position or not. The audible timer alarm comes in handy if you happen to be running a draft as well.

I used the Excel cheatsheet (with Dodds projections) as a sanity check now & again to look at tiers of players and see where Dodd ranked guys vs where I put them. If he thought much higher about one guy when I had two very closely ranked, once or twice I went that direction.

At my live draft today we were talking about the possibility of going back to a pre-software draft - paper and pens only.

Why carry a cheatsheet or any paper when you can just use a laptop? This is the second year I have used DD and last year I won. This year I have a strong team again. DD is just too easy to be junking up the screen with a bunch of papers. I will continue to use DD as long as its around and I keep on winning Championships.
