Chester Taylor - shoulder stinger (1 Viewer)

Just ran into this in one of my email newsletters, and the story doesn't elaborate:

TAYLOR HAS SHOULDER STINGER

Minnesota Vikings RB CHESTER TAYLOR left in the third quarter of Monday night's game vs. New England with a shoulder stinger. He was replaced by backup RB MEWELDE MOORE and did not return. Taylor's

status for this week's game is uncertain. Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Any word on whether this could keep him out this week? I missed the game, so I didn't know how seriously he may have been hurt, and Moore put up some nice receiving numbers in garbage time.

There hasn't been any news on this. Childress didn't even mention it during his post game presser. He mentioned several players, but not C. Taylor.

C. Taylor was in on the last drive of the 3rd quarter, caught a 20 yd pass on the first play of the 4th (same drive), and B. Johnson threw an interception on the very next play.

On the Vikes next drive, both Taylor and Johnson were replaced.

M. Moore time.

Could be a good 1 week fill-in if need be. They play @49ers. After last weeks :yucky: performance of Johnson, Plus outdoors in possibly windy condition I expect Lots of running plays.

<<Runs to check waiver wires to see if he is still there. :bye:

I did not see when they were pulled so I am just thinking maybe the game was outa hand and Childress just wanted to take C.Taylor out to give him some rest and not risk injury in a useless situation. Maybe I am dead wrong but it sounds that way.

I have no information on this, but if it was just a shoulder stinger there will be no problem with him playing. The Vikes were getting killed and looked to mail it in the 4th quarter. I would expect Chester to play and play well. If the injury was more than a stinger there would be plenty of discussion about it.

Exactly he is fine. The Vikes stunk up the joint and will rebound Vs 49ers. Moore wishers are just hoping, I watched the whole game they replaced him because what was the point of him being out there. They were getting pounded, and Moore comes in most 3rd downs and that is all they were doing was passing. Taylor will be playing

 If I can find him and drop my back-up kicker for insurance in case there is more to the story, I shouldn't?? :loco:

And if your kicker goes down in pre-game warmups, then what....huh?

F the Kicker.. In the one league I have a shot at M.M. our kickers only get points if the FG they kick is over 40+ yards any ways.Stupid Rule.. 8 of 12 have voted to change it next year.

I was being sarcastical.

I realize CBS sportsline is TERRIBLE at giving reliable, up to date information and there is no link for this comment.......BUT CBS is reporting a possible stinger and/or a CONCUSSION under their "player news" heading:

Chester Taylor, RB MIN

News: Vikings RB Chester Taylor, who was held to 22 yards on 10 carries, suffered a possible concussion and a right shoulder stinger in Monday's game against the Patriots. Taylor is not listed on the team's injury report this week and is expected to play against the 49ers in Week 9.

Analysis: It is good news that Taylor is not yet on the team's injury report, but keep an eye out just in case he appears later in the week. He should be ready to play come Sunday and is a great Fantasy option against the 49ers.

I realize this is probably NOT a big deal since he is not listed on the injury report. I just wanted to pass along the info to everyone interested.

It looks like Taylor is good to go this week.

RB Chester Taylor practiced Wednesday after suffering a shoulder stinger Monday. Taylor, who also took a shot to the head in the first half, did not miss significant time because of the injuries but had only 10 carries for 22 yards.

M. Moore is a good backup, sure. I meant you were over reacting to the unverified report of Chester's stinger. Stingers come and go...they don't linger and continually hurt. I had them all the time. You can certainly play through it. Chester will start this week...MARK IT DOWN! :D
