***Chicago Bears Thread*** Ben Johnson hired. The Resurrection Begins! (4 Viewers)

That's not the foot out of bounds we're talking about.  I've been looking at the :54 mark.  I see his toe touching out of bounds and the ball in his hands right before it comes out.
That what i was thinking 1:49 mark of video.

I think the ball is already floating at that point personally.  It just seems like it's not still being gripped there.
It could very well be. Anyway, screwing John Fox is a good thing. he needs to be gone.

Bears receiver Markus Wheaton played two snaps Sunday and has one reception this season. Coach John Fox: "The more he's out there and can show the coaches what he can do, I think the better for him."

Fox on Tarik Cohen playing 13 snaps: "Getting him on the field is something I think our guys do. I think he’s still one of our leading receivers on the season. We went through a stretch there where maybe we didn’t throw it as much as some people. But he’s involved quite a bit.”

More from Fox: "Defenses are doing more to take him away. I think there were situations in that game yesterday where he was doubled so we had to go to somebody else. Kendall Wright caught a ball where they were doubling over to the right on Cohen and he converted a third down."

Mcbride has career game. Pretty much benched the next game.

Thompson only guy to have good chemistry with Trubisky, who's a starter, gets cut

Pay huge money to Wheaton. 1 catch on year and barely played yesterday.

Bellamy drops more passes than anyone in league the past 2 years. Promoted yesterday.

Apparently, Cohen creates mismatches for the other team and they have to double him some. Only plays 13 snaps

He's doing this on purpose

What was that all about?

Bellamy is the guy that should have had the TD taken away based on the bad call from last week. He fumbled, untouched, after the catch, in the EZ. The guy should only be on special teams. He's horrible.

Not sure what you guys are expecting with a rookie QB and the hot dog vendor playing WR. It's a passing league and da Bears are well below average in both right now.  Packers roster isn't as bad as people think - they had the lead vs Brees in the 4th quarter at home playing Huntley.  Yea, they lost that game, but it goes to show they are still a good team, and Huntley isn't Tom Savage.  He's still in the lower quantile of QBs (maybe Flynn level) but Flynn still won half his games when he started for Rodgers!

Huntley is terrible and will never be a starting qb in the NFL. What world are you living in? Bears fans want a respectable product on the field and should've easily won that game. Everyone knows it. Vegas knew it. The Packers had done #### since Rodgers went down and were down to their 3rd RB by halftime.  You can say the Packers roster isn't as bad as people think, but you would be in the minority.  And you're not a Bears fan and don't watch every game, you really have no idea this goes far deeper than just this loss.  The Packers loss was just the exclamation point.

And the Bears roster apparently isn't as bad as you seem to think either. Their losses have very little to do with them having a rookie QB.

Fired Lovie after winning 10 games. Haven't won over 6 games in the 5 years since. Definition of a failed franchise. I'd wish the stadium would be completely empty at the next home game, but it wouldn't matter to the Bears. Just keep raking in the money.

I've seen a few people say that Trubisky has regressed.  I don't see it.  Regressed from what?  The 16 pass attempt game or the 7 pass attempt game?  I think when you actually let him run a normal offense you're going to see more mistakes.  He made some mistakes which is normal but he made some great plays too.  He didn't turn the ball over which is also a big plus.
He's most definitely regressed. His pocket presence since the preseason is much worse. I don't blame him

Dowell and Fox and pretty much negated his ability to make plays with his feet. Very few rollouts or running from the gun. They have to be torpedoeing this on purpose. They've made him timid and completely unsure of himself.

Fox doesn't get to use Cutler as his scapegoat this year. It's becoming pretty evident that the QBs haven't been the problem all along.

Fox on Tarik Cohen playing 13 snaps: "Getting him on the field is something I think our guys do. I think he’s still one of our leading receivers on the season. We went through a stretch there where maybe we didn’t throw it as much as some people. But he’s involved quite a bit.”

Bears coach John Fox said Benny Cunningham has played ahead of Tarik Cohen in passing situations because of pass protection.

"Benny is a veteran guy. I mean, he's been in the league, he understands protections," Fox said. "Things change altogether on third down. Defenses are way more exotic...And we've gone with more veteran guys in that role thus far." Both Fox and OC Dowell Loggains praised Cohen, but it does not seem like the rookie is supplanting Cunningham on third downs anytime soon. With just eight touches total in the last three games, Cohen is not a must-hold in redraft.

Pathetic

If we can get a competent head coach in here next year, Cohen can be electric. Fox and Noggains have just quit using him altogether because opposing defenses said don't do that.

Already time to start looking at positions to fill next year? Need at least CB, RT, OLB, WR in offseason.  WR and CB deep in free agency. RT and OLB deep in top rounds of the draft. Probably another top 10 pick. Need another big time playmaker at OLB

Sims inactive again. Just another blunder in the long list of poor FA signings by Pace. This guy needs to be held accountable for his terrible FA failures since he got here.

Finally a decent drive showing some diversity.  Of course, we can't get the TD and settle for a FG.  Can't even remember the last time we scored a TD on an opening drive.

Don't look now. Brett Hundley back to being Brett Hundley after playing the Bears. Bears come out kicking butt. Blow it and down at the half with no momentum.

Everyone and their mother knew Barth should've been cut a couple weeks ago, at the least. A lot of us said last offseason. Didn't happen. Already cost us multiple games yet again. Round and round we go. Another loss on Fox and Pace. But they'll still get their millions.

#Bears spent the whole game moving the ball successfully with Howard, Cohen and Shaheen. And none of them were on the field for the final drive. There’s just no explanation for that.

Philly next week, 3-8 likely. Even worse

2-22 when trailing out of the half, 9-30 under Fox

3-13 in the division since 2015.

1-7 in the conference this year

Losing guys like Floyd makes it hard to even care about this team. He's part of the hope this franchise has, and any ding to his athleticism will have a derrick rose like effect on his ability. Just a black hole of a team right now. I guess Trubisky does keep one from completely throwing in the towel, but this rebuild is turning into a disaster thanks to injuries.

Partially due to injuries but they've made a ton of mistakes, too. 3 years in and they'll have fewer wins in 2 straight years than in year one. Not a very successful rebuild. Hard to polish that.

Bears QB Mitch Trubisky : "I feel like they trust me. I know coach Dowell Loggains trusts me a lot with just how far I've progressed -- and what coach Fox is allowing us to do on offense."

That's good Fox is allowing him to do stuff and Dowell is calling the plays. Smh

Bears have been in last place in division for 30 straight NFL weeks.

This is the Bears' seventh losing streak of three games or longer under John Fox.

The Bears' last three-game winning streak came in 2013 -- the first three games of the Marc Trestman era.

If all the large amount of money Pace spent in fa this year, Amukamara and Wright are the only ones contributing, and even then not a lot.  Glennon, Sims, Cooper, Demps, Wheaton.  33 million. All a waste. Add in McPhee, who's been terrible this year, and you have 41 million in cap space who are contributing almost nothing.

Going into next season.  If the Bears part ways with who I expect them to: Glennon, Sitton, Freeman, McPhee, Sims, Massie, Wheaton, Cooper, young, Demps, they'll have almost exactly 100 million in cap space going into next year with the franchise qb locked up for the following 4 years on a cheap contract.
