I almost never get into gun control debates but doesn't Chicago itself have some of the strictest in the nation?

Underclass culture (black and white) and poverty and desperation. Family breakdown. Cultural depravity. Wanton disrespect for human life. Gun culture.Etc.

Are people crossing into IN, buying guns legally and then coming back to Chicago with them and using them in these murders? I'm not a "gun supporter", but I think they'd find guns no matter what.That's where a large portion of the guns being confiscated by the cops are from
Nobody talks about anything either in fear of retaliation. Some gang member executed a rival gang members 2 year old this year, just a week ago or so a woman and her family was fire bombed in retaliation for the woman's sister killing someone.
Yep that's exactly what's happening. I am not saying that they wouldn't get guns but the ease of which they get them both access and cost would be limited a bit more. Certainly not the cause but a contributing factor, a bigger factor IMO is that when someone is caught with an illegal gun they get essentially a slap on the wrist based on what the PC has said.
There isn't an easy solution to this at all. People are dirt poor, are afraid of the gangs, don't trust the police and have no way out. If people are still afraid to talk about what they see after what's happened this year I am not sure they ever will.

Heh. They were putting GPS trackers on known criminals' cars in public without a warrant, but the Supreme Court nixed that.We should put a tracking app on all the criminals, seemed to set Rockaction on the straight and narrow.
If this has much of anything to do with the problem, why isn't Indiana awash with gun violence? Why is the problem in Chicago?
