Chiefs dangling DANTE HALL...according to PFT (1 Viewer)

PFT is reporting Dante Hall is on the block and with primary punt returner PacMan Jones out for the year and kickoff returner Bobby Wade allowed to sign with the Vikes, I hope TN makes a run at him.

He's not a rookie, but he only comes with $1.5m & $1.9m next price tag...not back for a difference maker in the 3rd phase of the game.

Let me be the first to ask what a kick returner and reserve WR would fetch in the open market. I cannot imagine it would be all that much. He's averaged under 30 catches a year the past 5 years without missing time. What could the Chiefs hope to get in return . . . a 6th round pick?

I would say thats the most they could get

Let's see, they want a 2nd rounder for old man Trent Green. Id imagine they want two 1st rounders for Dante Hall. Come on, he was the best return man in the game....uhhh, few years ago.

Well, what would Devin Hester be worth? And he doesn't even have a position.I think the Hall magic is gone, personally, but if some team thinks he can be the old Dante, I think they'd ask for more than a 6th.I'm not sure who the Chiefs think they are fooling with the 2nd round demand for Trent Green, so I can't wait to see what they ask for for Hall.

He's washed up, and runs backwards on every play, Id cut him if I were the chiefs
:hophead: Yep. He's like a closer pitcher that's lost his confidence. He's afraid to catch the ball and he doesn't just explode through the creases anymore. He dances too much and runs backwards. And for all the bashing that Jamal Lewis takes for too much "dancing" I'd expect the same bashing for Hall.Chiefs fans are tired of him and are ready for a new face.

Hall has not exactly lit it up the past couple of seasons as a returner. He ranked 17th in punt returns and 23rd in kickoff returns in 2006 with 1 return TD. He ranked 20th in punt returns and 14th in kickoff returns and 1 return TD.Given his limited development in the receiving game, I'm not sure he'll command much in a trade.

KC fans sounds like they are ready to dump him. I personally feel he may have a season left. And if any coaching staff can get something out of their players it's Jeff Fisher and the Titans. If the price is right, I would give him a shot... :nerd:

Considering the number of draft picks the Titans have, they can get someone at a MUCH cheaper price to fill in on special teams.

Is Bethel Johnson a comparable here?
Sure. Johnson has now moved on to his 4th team since 2005. He was traded to the Saints once for basically a guy that was going to be released. Since then, the Saints and Vikings have let him go and the Eagles have picked him up. If Hall = Johnson, then Hall has very limited value.

I think he'll be hanging for a while. I can't see anyone making a move for him, 2 years ago probably.
