Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle - effects on Gonzo / LJ (1 Viewer)

If Croyle starts, Do the Chiefs just run the ball all day to limit QB mistakesmistakes ? The Seahawks Seattle have the league's 8th ranked rush defense, averaging 92.2 rushing yards per game. They've only allowed 4 rushing TD's over the seven weeks. LJ 25 -30 carries Bennet 10 - 12 ? Gonzo could be a beneficiary as well. Thoughts on the Croyle effect.

I was going to bench Gonzo this week because after his big week vs. SD I thought he was bound to cool off. But with Croyle more than likely playing this week, we all know a good TE is an inexperienced QB's best friend. As for LJ, he may see 8-man fronts by the Seachickens just daring Croyle to beat them over the top so LJ might have a tough day sledding. Doubtful that Sammie Parker and E. Kennison would get that many looks because downfield. The passing yards through the air will come in the form of checkdowns to LJ and to Gonzo on short drops and over the middle type stuff. Just my gut feeling.

If Croyle Starts:

LJ's line will look like this:

43 carries for 105 yards and 1.5 TD's

7 catches for 45 yards and 0.5 TD's

1/3 passing for 33 yards and 1 int

The seahawks would be crazy to do anything but put 11 in the box

Gonzo - 3 catches 23 yards

Croyle 12/23 for 117 yards and 1 TD and 2 INT's
