While I can't necessarily identify who will do it (SF won't though), I have this feeling that Seattle is going to suffer from the post-Super Bowl loss blues and be dethroned as division champion. Just my gut, reinforced by the fact that both St. Louis and Arizona should be improved this year.

Only one vote for the Redskins is ridiculous to me. That division is up for grabs.

NFC East:

I picked Dallas for the NFC East. Its gonna be close but I think it will finish :

-Dallas

-NYG

-Philadelphia

-Washington

with everyone 8-8 or better.

NFC North

NFC North goes to Chicago

-Chicago

-Minnesota

-Detroit

-Green Bay

Chicago will not go 11-5 again but should manage to go 9-7 or 10-6. Vikings will struggle to play for .500 and should go anywere between 6-10 and 8-8. The Lions should be improved with a competent coaching staff and I see them finishing 7-9 or 8-8. IMHO the chances that the Vikes go 8-8 are better than the Lions' chance to go 8-8 but the Vikes' chances to go 6-10 are better than the Lions' chances to go to 6-10. Green Bay will struggle and should finish around 3-13.

NFC South

NFC South is up for grabs but I think it's going to Carolina:

-Carolina

-Atlanta

-Tampa Bay

-NO

Gonna be close just like last year but Tampa's defense is a year older, the OLine still sucks, Galloway is older and I don't know if Clayton will be as good as he was in his rookie year. Atlanta's defense is increased, Lelie is in town and it should only help Vick's big arm.

NFC West

For the NFC West, I'm going out on a limb and predict AZ wins it.

-AZ

-Seattle

-St-Louis

-San Francisco

AZ going 8-8 or 9-7, Seattle going anywhere between 6-10 and 8-8. Yes, I do believe in the madden curse. St-Louis 6-10 and San Francisco not getting more than 5 wins. Arizona's offence is great despite Warner's fragility and the Cards have some play makers on D (Wilson, Berry, Dansby, Antrel Rolle one year older, etc...) and the arrival of Edge will help the team chemistry.

Surprised at zero votes for Atlanta and only one for the Skins (I voted for neither...but still surprised)

What are you talking about? The o-line is vastly improved this year. I don't really have a problem with your picks or opinion, but, at least in ths case, it is based on faulty assumptions.

Depth is better but I still think the unit is bottom 15 and close to bottom 10. Depth is better, and the potential is there, but for 2007 or 2008.

1. Carolina (South)

2. Dallas (East)

3. Seattle (West)

4. Minnesota (North)

5. Atlanta (WC1)

6. N.Y. Giants (WC2)

Wow - no love for the Falcons. I don't think they'll win it but I thought they'd get some votes.
Have you seen their schedule? They'll be lucky to win 6 games.@Carolina Tampa Bay @New Orleans Arizona BYEN.Y. Giants Pittsburgh @Cincinnati @Detroit Cleveland @Baltimore New Orleans @Washington @Tampa Bay Dallas Carolina @Philadelphia

Dallas- when the smoke clears and the dust settles, the TO mess will be worked out and the Cowboys will win this division.

*The Redskins are getting no love becuase despite bringing in the best coaching staff money could buy, Danny Boy has pissed off the football Gods for trying to buy a championship every year.

Deadskins= 5-11 this season

Panthers- probably the strongest team in the NFC, will win with tough defense and face the Cowboys in the NFC championship.

* Vick is still the QB in Atlanta right? OK- no playoffs.

Minnesota- I am tired of hearing about how great Chicago and their defense are. Alex Friggin Smith tore through the defense like a knife through warm butter. The QB and RB situations are a mess. Minnesota will win this division with 9 wins and get bounced first round of the playoffs.

Seattle- Seattle will dominate this division again this season.

* I know everyone has a love affair with the Cardinals. They still have no offensive line, the running game doesnt appear to be much better, even with Edge.

I'm surprised to see the Eagles with so many votes. I'm surprised to see Carolina dominating the South too.

Can someone explain why the Skins and Cowboys are so often picked to be SB contenders? not sarcasm or anything. i just don't see what everyone likes about them so much.

:lmao: You mean as opposed to the prudent and frugal FA shopping that has brought TO to your team?

What will the football gods think of your statue for a QB standing behind that seive of an o-line?

Dont ask me about the Redskins..... I dont see itDallas has dominated everyone so far in the preseason....during the time with the starters in the game. Including when Dallas dominated Seattle, with Romo in the game and Bledsoe and TO on the bench. The first string defense has been completely dominant. We love four games by a field goal, enter Vanderjerk.

Live dilusional all you want. Enjoy last place. The football Gods would have no problem with a "statue" at QB. Who is Brunell all the sudden. What a joke.

Except for two games, the Falcons play the same teams as the rest of the NFC South.
Okay. That just tells you how much I think of Atlanta's offense. If they get behind they will not be able to catch up, unless their defense does it. Carolina has pretty much the same schedule, but I don't consider it to be nasty for them, because of their overall team. Same with Tampa.
