Choosing My Draft Position (1 Viewer)

Our league is giving us the choice of our draft position. Basically, names were drawn out of a hat giving the order for each team to select it's draft position 1-10. The draft is serpentine throughout. I have the #6 choice of my draft slot and 1-2 are already taken. I'm pretty much assuming everyone is going to go pretty much in order. So I'm assuming I will have position 5-6. However, are 5-6 the best choices in this year's draft or would moving down to 7-8 make more sense because I would have earlier 1-2 picks? Your thoughts?

I really think this depends on who you are targeting. If you really like someone you can get at 8 or so, its reasonable to take that spot over 5/6. For instance, if you are high on Gore or Portis and think you can get them towards the tail end of the 1st, I would pick a later slot.

Okay, it's my pick now. 1,2,4,5,10 are gone. I'm looking either 3 or 8. Anymore thoughts?I think I could get Brady at 3, which would be a sweet deal. I could also get Westbrook, but though he's a top tier RB, he the one with the most downside. New contract and injury prone. At #8 Brady is an OUTSIDE shot (if people are still thinking RB-RB), but Moss, Manning, Gore could all be available with only 4 more guys dropping off the board before I pick again.

My strategy is to take the best position players available as late as you think you can. Almost everyone goes RB/RB or RB/WR....if you do that than what seperates you from the other guys?

So, if you think you can get Brady at 3...get him there and take that spot. However, if you think you can get R. Moss at 8 I would take that slot. He's just as dominate at his position. Taking RB at 3 or 8 will probably not give you any real advantage.
