Chris Chambers (1 Viewer)

He was in most of the game after the 1st quarter. It didn't look like his ankle was 100% as he wasn't getting much separation. He'll probably be more involved next week.

The ankle has been an issue for what, 5 weeks now? I presumed he'd be at full strength after the bye, since he actually played the week before. My confidence led me to trade away some of my WR depth, which now appears to have been a mistake.

He has a high ankle sprain. Those things can linger all year long.... especially if he is still playing without it being fully healed.

so what are the projections for Chambers from here on out? Should be a big time receiver in a great offense but this ankle has kept him from anything for over a month now.

Can he be a reliable #2 WR going into the playoffs?

This might be a case of a receiver losing his job due to injury.

But in reality, even early in the season when Chambers was healthy, he wasn't getting alot of targets. He had a bunch of early TD's, but not many yards.

Jackson and Gates are the primary guys for Rivers, and now Floyd is stepping up and getting alot of looks as well.

Just too many guys. If you start Chambers, you're just hoping for a miracle right now. Just bench him for awhile and look somewhere else.

You could be entirely right. However, I'm holding onto him with the hope that he can get healthy, and be the top scoring threat again. It may be improbable with a lingering ankle problem, but I don't think it would take a 'miracle'. Chambers is a greater talent than the other Charger wideouts.

This is said year in and year out, but, the guy just doesn't deliver. I'm not throwing stones at you for saying this, I've said it and been burnt by the guy. He just can't do it. Shame, too.

His ankle has been getting better every week. I figure he moves back into his starting spot next week or the week after at the latest and resumes putting up the kind of numbers he was putting up prior to the injury within that time frame as well assuming his recovery continues on its current pace. The bad news is the Steelers are up next.

I own VJax and Chambers.

Doubt I would ever start them together.

Was jsut offered K Curtis in trade for Chambers and I'm considering it.

That's how down I am on this guy!

I just dumped him for Mark Bradley. Even if he comes back 100%, VJax has pretty much stolen the show and with the way Malcolm Floyd has played, and with Gates now healthy, I don't see Chambers doing much.
