Chris 'empty' Chambers done? (1 Viewer)

Too many targets and not enough production... seriously... I've never been much of a fan of Chris Chambers and have ALWAYS been enamored with Malcolm Floyd. Are we seeing the end of Chambers as a productive WR and who would this benefit more... Floyd or Legadu Nanee?

WHEN WILL MALCOLM GET HIS TRUE SHOT?.... not counting his last shot.... and the one before that.

That was when he was with the Dolphins. As a Charger, he's had very good fantasy production per target -- but not many targets. His drop percentage last year was the fifth lowest in the league (behind Mark Clayton, Chansi Stuckey, Ike Hilliard, Jason Avant), while his TD percentage was the fourth highest (after Justin Gage, Randy Moss, and Calvin Johnson) [among WRs with at least 25 receptions].

He was targeted only once on Monday night. He's not a bad player, but Legedu Naanee and Malcom Floyd are arguably as good or better. So Chambers' targets will continue to be limited.

Before the season, I suggested that Chambers would get fewer fantasy points in 16 games this season than he got in 14 games last season. Now that I've watched the first game, I'm further lowering my estimate.

Stashed Legedu for next year. And happy 26th birthday!!Chambers is toast there.
There is no reason Legedu should not be starting over that bum. Better hands, plenty of speed.
They don't play the same WR position. Floyd is the guy behind Chambers. Ostensibly Naanee is behind Jackson, though they find ways to get them both on the field in 3 receiver sets.
Then that is just poor coaching. They should give Naanee reps in the other spot. Nothing like not starting a better player because he 'doesn't play that side'.

Those "reps" at that spot would be Floyd's. I don't know what you want here, Naanee was targeted more than Chambers on Monday.
