Troubled Bengals player Chris Henry is in trouble again.

The wide receiver is charged with assault and criminal damaging out of Hamilton County.

According to the police report, Henry was involved in a fight on Ohio Avenue in Clifton Heights Monday.

An 18-year-old man claims Henry threw a bottle shattering his car window and punched him in the face.

Chris Henry has reportedly told police this is a case of mistaken identity.

After convictions including a gun charge, the NFL suspended Henry and placed him on a zero tolerance policy.

We have not yet heard from the Bengals or the league.

That's all she wrote if it's true. Hard to imagine anyone giving this knucklehead ANOTHER chance.

Broke on tv here in town and I waited for link to post. I can't think he is even that stupid, knowing that would end career. If true, he has major self discipline issues beyond the NFL.

Absolute waste of immense talent if this has legs. I feel bad for Carson Palmer. Class player who either winds up with a few more years or mediocrity or they blow up the squad and re-build the skill player depth charts.

This is truly a shock.

P.S. who won money on this?

PPS: Guess he's going to not be drafted in the survivor leagues anymore.

Hoping for the mistaken identity angle.
Not me, this turd shouldn't be representing the NFL anymore. Kick him to the curb.
You want it to be him so Goodell can boot him? Meh, seems if a hardcore like Goodell gave him a chance, we should be hoping for the best. He is a great talent, and idiot, and it's nice when the talent gets to win over the idiocy, not visa versa. I can't hope for that. People can straighten up and fly right. If those closest to the situation agree it's worth a shot, let's hope for the best. And have you tried a 16 team PPR redraft? We all need a few more Henrys this year.

He is most likely not an idiot - idiot means lack of ability to reason - that is not his real problem. With all the incidents, and near incidents I've read about him, he is mentally ill with severe anger issues, probably psychopathic. I predict a prison term in his near future; he has a much higher probability of that than a successful NFL career.

He is a kid that had no parental guidance from a very young age and thinks far too much of "keeping it real". Mentally/Emotionally he is a teenager.

That happened to him once, didn't it? Or was that a false police report?
Thurman had a false report. Henry had a mistaken identity before.
:bag: My favorite part about the false identity case that time with Henry is that the kids involved claimed Reggie McNeal was also involved - like anybody knows what the heck Reggie McNeal even looks like.Hope this case is similar and that it's just somebody trying to take advantage of Henry's reputation to their own benefit. If not I don't have to worry about Henry anymore as a Bengals fan as he'll be gone and at least he'd have done this ahead of the draft (if it's a mistaken identity case, I'd figure that that'll come out in the next couple of days). This also is reason #69458 we ain't tradin' Chad...-QG

If its true, Im bummed as I just got my #15 Jersey with "Thug Life" on the back last Christmas. From the details I have heard, it will be hard to get a conviction on this. No witnesses, one 18 yr old's word against Henry's.

If this is true it makes you wonder how ####### stupid players are. Didn't colleges teach them a bit about responsibility?

Update, New stuff being reported:

The player’s agent, Marvin Frazier, said Henry gave him a different version of events but declined to elaborate.

“I was told it didn’t happen that way,” Frazier said.

According to an affidavit filed in Hamilton County, Henry was identified by Gregory Meyer, whose hometown was not listed, and an eyewitness. The eyewitness claimed Henry punched Meyer, causing “visible injury.” Henry then threw a beer bottle at Meyer’s car, breaking the rear passenger window, according to the affidavit.

Didn't happen that way, different version of events? Wait, I thought it was "Mistaken identity" Something is stinky here.

Also there is now a witness so it's not Henrys word vs. the accuser anymore...

 Chris Henry, good luck with your new career at Wallmart.

:lmao: and good riddance. He should stop wasting the Bengal's time- he's got bigger things to worry about than football. Like ANGER MANAGEMENT.

He attended WVU under Rich Rodriguez. I doubt he ever saw the inside of a classroom.

Ill wait till the whole story is out. The last time there was a "witness" he was asked to punch the accuser in the face to show some proof of his story. It very well could be a true story. But at this point I have seen far too many $$$ grabbers trying to make a quick buck to automatically believe them just because Henry happens to be an idiot.

 While I have no problem believing Henry is in trouble again, I think he is an extremely easy target for someone that wants to get back at him for some reason or is out for money.Let's wait to see how this shakes out before we kick him out of the league.

But officer, it wasn't me. I saw it all -- it was Ocho Cinco!
Sad as it is to say, it's quite likely that bonehead would make a statement like that. Is there even an active braincell in that moron's head? Here's hoping it's true so I can get the WR that takes his place in the upcoming draft.

I think you are giving him too much credit.

Way to go Chris. See you in a year....
I would have to imagine that if this is true he might officially be done in the NFL. Does anyone see it differently?
I don't think the league would officially kick him out forever. It would probably be a PacMan type situation where he would be up for re-instatement in a year or so. His problem is that he can't seem to keep his nose clean for more than a couple of months so the chances are pretty small he'll be back if he's suspended long term IMO.

Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but one thing is sure...trouble and distractions follow Henry. Cincy should have cut ties with him awhile ago. They need to disinfect their locker-room and removing a guy like Henry is a good place to start (regardless of how talented he is). Let someone else deal with his issues and get some guys you can depend on.
