Chris Perry? Any news-outlook? (1 Viewer)

Bengals doctors screwed up his diagnosis during the offseason, meaning he had knee surgery way later than he otherwise would have, meaning he won't be available early in the season.

Shame, because the kid has oodles of talent and is every bit the running back that LJ and others in his class are -- minus the injury part. If he can get healthy, he could be a star. In yearly leagues, he is worthless. In dynasty, he costs nothing and, who knows, maybe he will still pay off at the end of this season or next.

Thanks, I;ve been out of town and couldn't find much on his injury status. Wondered why he was still there in the 15th round of a redraft

August 25, 2006, 10:14 Bengals :: RBRB Perry Inching Closer To ReturnKevin Goheen, Cincinnati Post - [Full Article]Just a few days after venting over his injury status, Bengals RB Chris Perry was performing agility drills with trainers Thursday afternoon. It's a sign the former first-round pick is closer to joining the team in practice and, eventually, getting onto the field for live game action.

Listened to the Bengals broadcast last night on Sirius and the Bengals announcers made it sound like Perry was obviously going on the PUP (somewhat news to me as I don't follow the Bengals)

Also see JAA's post on Quincy Wilson

The same announcers said that Wilson would get the bulk of the carries if Rudi went down since Watson is not built to carry the load.

The question is, how many years will we have to speculate that he has "if not for" talent?

I don't disagree, but at his current price, I still think the potential payoff is well worth it.
