I agee with tdmills, Lynch's contract runs through next year, and there is now more $$$ available to pay that contract or restructure. The odds of another year of Michael irrelevance on my dynasty bench have increased. At least I have P. Richardson whose dynasty odds of relevance just went up.
Yep, bad news for Michael. I really doubt Lynch gets cut now.
Lynch is due to make 7 mill next year plus 125k per game. I don't think Seattle will pay that so it will be interesting to see if Lynch is willing to restructure. If Seattle is thinking of moving on from him they're going to need to see Michael like actually maybe play in a game. So we'll see if Michael starts getting some carries at some point. If he continues to be inactive that just doesn't look good for Michael no matter how you slice it.

Healthy scratch. Now inactive for 19 of 22 possible games. Still no concern?
I understand people want to see some evidence and a trajectory that predicts future success. I'm not that "needy".

I was willing to "red shirt" the rookie season. Given the caliber of that team and the depth at RB, having him inactive made sense given you're trying to field a large and diverse team. For example, it might make more sense to carry depth on the line or someone who contributes on special teams.

I was willing to give him an injury pass early this season given the hamstring. However, this pass expired after their bye.

So, yes, now I have some concerns - especially in light of Lynch's recent back spasms. Flip side is Turbin isn't seeing much action either with just 3 snaps last week.

I have the roster space to hold. It is remarkable how fast things can change. Look at the Vikings this season or the Chargers with Matthews, Brown and now Branden Oliver...

Yeah def starting to get worried. Would love to see the Seahawks trade Michael. I mean if they don't think he's ready to see the field maybe some other team might want to trade for him and actually play him.

I get your point as a fantasy owner but why would the Seahawks do that? They have a promising backup that is essentially free that they can let refine his game in practice. It's the perfect situation for the Seahawks.

I was pretty adamantly low on Michael, compared to consensus at least. People were comparing him to Adrian Peterson. I own 0 shares of him because the price was so high and it wasn't justified. It was all off of a few preseason carries and his combine performance.

Now that people are starting to cool off on him, I'm starting to get interested. So what kind of deals have people seen in dynasty for him lately? Would someone like a Tre Mason or another promising but unproven rookie be enough?

They haven't come out and said it but judging their actions it doesn't seem like they are exactly happy with his progress.

Ooooooooooooh man do I wish I'd traded him in May/June.
I own Michael in all my dynasty leagues, and I agree with this, his value has definitely taken a hit. That said, if I didn't own him I would be interested now, he's still a RB prospect with a high upside. Just not at the first round price he once demanded.

Serious question: michael has been behind Turbin the past 1.5 years, but with Coleman injured now, Turbin Has become the starting FB. If Turbin is so much better than Michael, why not sign some serviceable FB, and keep Turbin at RB? Maybe I'm looking for small positives with Michael, but it seems like a good sign for him, no?

Well, you can hope.

I kinda thought the same thing. Is it known whether he was made active before or after the coleman injury? If they did it out of the simple fact that so many guys are down and they just had the spot its one thing, but id be more intrigued if he was activated prior to coleman going down. If that's the case and you pair it with being satisfied moving Turbin to fulltime FB...Not to say Michael jumped Turbin or anything, but it could be a sign they're comfortable enough with Michael to have him serve in a semi-backup capacity. Wow, just read that back and winced, hello to all the other long term michael owners grasping at straws

More bad news for Michael owners:

Per @MortReport, the @Seahawks have grown tired of Marshawn Lynch's ways and he's not expected to return next season.

The Seahawks have obviously seen all they need to see from Turbin to know he's their guy.

Seriously? He's playing fullback. I'm ecstatic as a Michael owner.
Sorry man. It's the only possible explanation. It's been explained here many times -- Michael's been inactive for the last two years and his career is o-v-e-r.

It's sarcasm... this is great news for Michael AND Turbin. The reality is that it's posturing on the part of SEA as the trade deadline approaches, knowing that they have some guys to take over. The team is out of sync anyway so who knows.

I'm not convinced it's great news for anyone in particular. For all we know Sea lets Lynch go and drafts a RB.

Seattle thinks they have a plug and play type of team. I think Lynch is one of those guys that you can't just plug in the next guy. Time will tell.

Apart from a Peyton Manning quarterbacked Broncos offense, is there such a thing as a plug-and-play offense in the NFL? Because I have a hard time thinking of one.

Guy on NFL Network said he thinks they draft one high next draft.

Yeah, seahawks might be a victim of their own success. When you get real good real quick, you sometimes have teams fall into the belichick trap where you suddenly think it's the coaches and not the players making the differences.

But, with the way this is going lately, I wouldn't be surprised if you see lynch on the bench down the stretch of the season if they implode or he suddenly has some minor injury they can justify. I think they aren't above sending the "nobody is irreplaceable" message.

Can't imagine this unless they were out of the playoffs already (possible). Then they might want to see how Turbin and Michael did as 'the guys'.

Sure there is. They aren't effective or efficient usually but almost all teams have a "next man up" mentality. It's just those cocky teams that let it blind them to being practical about it.
