No wonder he's so elusive...did you see how nervous/twitchy this guy is. His head fakes at the post game interview blew away the on field moves. It's full throttle 24/7.

 
You guys are very critical. I saw the head twitches maybe he is nervous, but give the kid a break he sounds well spoken and intelligible. This is from a Cowboys fan looking at who we could have had in the second round if we didn't have biases...

 
The kid has an amazing skillset, and will be doing a lot more post-game interviews, but wow.. he's really NOT well spoken.

Compare him to a post game interview with LT,Faulk,Manning, the difference is huge.

It seems like a lot of todays younger athletes are the same way.. Cutler,Hester are two others... Cutler just lacks the maturity, Hester just cannot be understood.. though I heard somewhere that he has had a stuttering problem for some time and is just now learning to overcome it.

Heard an interview with him once early last year on the radio, The SCORE, perhaps and it was simply DREADFUL- Worse is the guy doing the interview just let him keep going and let him sound like an idiot.. I sincerely felt bad for Hester that they went on so long.

I think its just a common assumption by people from the innerwebs. As far as my 5min google search went, i found nothing official.
 
No clue if the kid has a disability.

I do know he is one hell of a RB.

He is also one of the ugliest guys playing in the league right now. Just buttugly.

He's no beauty queen, but no way he takes that crown from Marshawn Lynch.
 
Johnson certainly has something going on other than nerves. The way he twitches in the same manner, that tic he has, seems like an OCD issue to me. Heck of a player no matter.

I guess it is human nature to see someone so good at what they do and then try to find a weakness in them so that you can deride them for it. Not one of the more admirable qualities though.

I really need to see that interview because every other one Shenehneh has given makes Brandon Jacobs sound like a Rhodes Scholar.
 
Maybe it's a disability, but it doesn't come off that way. Seemed more like one of those guys who's just wound up tight. We just called them hyperactive kids when I was growing up, now they probably have a medical name for it and a bunch of drugs.

It likely has nothing to do with this.My buddy had/has a mild case of tourettes and it presents itself almost identically.

 
Just an awesome RB. Like everyone else I knew he had elite speed but his vision, balance, and toughness are surprising me. A joy to watch.

Unless I was mistaken I heard last week during the broadcast that he had lunch with Faith Hill. I'd pay to hear that conversation.

 
This is nothing new and it was discussed here when he was drafted. It's just a twitch, no big deal.

Is CJ the most exciting RB to watch since Sanders? Every time he touches the ball, you're on the edge of your seat cause he can break one at any time.

 
He was actually running around the room very fast and we could only see his head move slightly. Great talent CJ.

Are you sure? I know when he was at ECU he had a bad neck injury, and he had major surgery done to his neck. I always heard through the pirate grapevine that it caused some nerve damage. I know he noticeably had a twitch his senior year.

Bingo. Has nerve damage that causes a "misfire" of sorts that causes the twitch. Maybe that's how he's so fast. Performance Enhancing Injury.
