1200ish. You'll see TH6s you can't really hit anymore due to the loot penalty, but will see TH7s worth hitting.Me too.I hope ill be able to finish all my dragons before the war ends. I'm outta elixir.
I'm still trying to find a good trophy range for raids as an early TH8. I've given up on sub200 and am pretty poor. If I hadn't maxed my mines and collectors back in TH7, I'd really be hurting.
Get your archers and barbs upgraded to L5 ASAP and then it becomes a whole lot easier.

Fbg2 wars once a week, and fbg1 (fbgs) wars twice a week, so you may want to choose from that. Thiugh you can move between the two freely. Last time we couldn't get to an increment of 5 without booting people, I sat one of my accounts rather than boot him though he hadn't attacked, as I know he often attacked late. But I don't think he's been active in several wars now. I'd say the next time we need to clear someone to get to an increment of 5, yeah, he'd be the first in the list until we hear from him.
I do hope no one gets upset about getting booted in such a case. It isn't like people can't rejoin pretty much the moment they get back to the game.

I like rage on dragons. Because it's a % increase, dragons are the best thing to use rage on. Especially the point where they clump together. If there's a high HP building between the dragons and an AD, rage can help burn through the obstructing bldg and get to Ad faster.

Where our discussion in chat went was going...
One, when remaining AA are not centered, are closer to one edge than the other, should you release dragons nearest to the AA or on the other side? My thoughts were, if you are worried about running out of time, that might favor opposite side since you have more dragons surviving early wiping out scores of buildings before they hit the AA's range. But then once you get into AA's range, you may have fewer dragons left and they may have damage, so they may take longer to clear buildings from edge of AA's range until they are attacking AA, resulting in more losses than otherwise. Also worth noting the dragons may be more likely coming from opposite side to be inside AA's range while taking out TH, CC, or storages which are higher health and so take longer to kill, subjecting them to more fire. I tend to favor deploying near the AA first, but if it's a TH9 and I am worried I won't 3-star in time, I could make an argument for opposite side.
The other issue then was which spells are better. We talked about 3 lightning vs 3 heal specifically. We took health healed by 3 heals and then I checked a war attack to see how long it took dragons to close on an AA once the AA started firing. The AA did the same damage in 15 seconds as 3 heals would heal, and it took the dragons 18 seconds to close. That was just one example though, not sure if 18 seconds is a middling number or an outlier. (ETA
I think we were looking at level 4 heal and a level 4 AA, but not positive now.

I thought they outranked us by a larger margin than any of our other matchups so far. But our participation level and sound strategies make a big difference.

So we need to come to a decision on attack strategy. The goal of +5, +10 or whatever has been to get a sure thing 3-star on the first atack so we don't have to spend 2nd attacks cleaning up missed stars.
We've been going +5 of late, but some were saying they don't think their +5 is at all a sure thing. Do we need to go +10 this time?
Fudd said our top 3 are way ahead of theirs, so I'd say we should assume our top 3 take their top 6, and probably smliteguy take the next 2 toughest bases regardless of their rank. If anyone else has L5 hogs besides smlite, include them there, but as far as I know he's the only other one with them.
The next 10 or so of us may want to talk about swapping between the hog and dragon attackers based on AA level. Lets not use hog attacks on the guys with level 4 AA while a dragon attacker is having to target level 6 AA.

I (smlite) can handle at least 2 in the top 10. 8&9 shouldn't be a problem. Might be able to take 7 as well, but not as confident as his base has a lot of open spots for hog traps.
I'll probably start with 8, so if someone feels super confident with 9, let me know, and I'll take on 7 with my second attack.
Also, I have asked for all wiz in my war cc. I see too many balloons and top level dragons in the top guys camps, valk ain't cutting it for this one.

It seems that some planning is definitely in order for this matchup. They appear to be organized and well versed in upgrading to the max before moving to the next TH level. I think we can expect a fight from these guys.
As such I think it may be best if we try to keep them off guard by not all having the same defensive cc troops. The lower guys should all still get a valk but once we are up into the th8+ range then let's start choosing some dragons! or tons of archers and a few wiz etc. if they can't predict what's in our cc it'll make their attacks on us a little harder.

Their clan leader's Google+ page, where amongst videos of his clan fighting, he posts a link to a youtube video for a CoC hack and asks if anyone else got the update for it and how to get rid of the Chinese text the new mod in it left on his screen.
Hopefully he's not someone who would actually uses it in in the game. Though I have no clue if it has any benefit otherwise. Maybe you can practice attacking your own base or something.

Still trying to get back into the hang of things. Logged in this afternoon and I hadn't been in for almost two dats. The 4 attacks on me netted the attackers 1.2 mil in gold and 1.8 mil in elixir and 8k in DE. And I won 2 of them.

I haven't seen a forum for them, just the leader's google+ page that came up when I googled their clan.
I don't think we should post anything anywhere they will see it while the war is going on. We don't want any of our opponents getting it into their head to google us and end up finding our thread here.

WBs may not be as important. Beyond that, I'm thinking walls would end up being less important. Before if you had 3 upgraded wall segments and troops split up to hit all three, you slowed them down a lot more than you will now. They'd bust through 3x as fast as they focus on a single wall. While having it with as much health as possible would be nice, I'd think the sheer number of troops you can bring to bear on the wall will make wall level a lot less meaningful.

Yeah, we've gone back and forth once or twice already before that. Our message has been, "Have a great season, guy". They put in their message, "We're not your guy, pal." So then we replied with, "Ok, have a rotten season then". Which led to their current asking us to be honest about what the score will be. And our response that if we're going to be honest with them, they should know their jeans do make them look fat.
