Honda peeps...we agreed that high level TH9s would be attacking the lowest TH9s in an attempt to get more 3 stars correct?
I think it's always been "attack the highest target you think you can 3 star" for th9s. 2star attacks on th10s are a reasonable target as well, but that depends a bit on the number of th10s we have on our side.
Would be good to sort this out. Have heard "2-stars is solid on first attack" a lot as well.
Par:
TH10 = 1 star
TH9 = 2 stars
TH8 = 3 stars
Base your attacks on that. My typical thought process is look at lower level TH9's for 3 star opportunities and go after those first then swing higher for a sure 2 star. The fact that I haven't come close to pulling it off in the last 3 wars is beside the point.
That's the black & white of it. The gray is what level is your base? Is your offense capable of pulling off a 2 or 3 star against a higher level base? TH8's ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS attack TH8's until they are all 3 starred then are free to swing for the fences (they call it a clan for a reason, sometimes you have to help cleanup). That's my read on it but it's all spelled out on the Honda board under Clan Wars. Meta War Strategy & War Do's & Don'ts are the 2 threads you should read through.
Get everyone using the hog comp from a while back. Fails are 2*. We've gone from getting 2-3 TH9 3* per war to 8-9 once we got more guys using it.
We've regressed and by 'we' I mean me. Can't buy a 2 star these days on the one base I had what I thought was a pretty solid 3 star I decided to heal the grass...twice...before my TH kill squad even jumped the first wall
For Honda TH9s only:
If you're a new TH9 and don't have a real TH9 attack yet either because you don't have the upgrades or you don't know how to GoHoxx GoWixx or GoLaxx yet, then 3 star max TH8, 2 star any TH9, 3 star TH9 where possible in that order. If you're a max offense TH9 then 2 starring a TH9 is expected to be the bare minimum. If going low then should be going for 3. Also, by "low" does not mean low in the war rankings. It's possible their 8 is a easy hog 3 star while their 20 can be a tricky TH9 that won't be 3 starred.
Trip, you should be 2 starring high TH9s or 3 starring under developed TH9s. Going low for 2 is not meant for you, it's for our newer TH9s still getting upgrades done.
For Honda TH8s only:
If you're maxed offense TH8 and all TH8s are 3 starred, look for 2 star opportunities up in TH9 land. Drag rush can often get 2 stars if the TH is on the edge and you're smart about spell usage.
See war thread in Honda board, it's outlined very explicitly there.
