I'm really shocked that I'm still getting hit so hard so quick. I've offered 19DE for each of my last 3 defences. Not 190. Not 1900. 19. Gold/Elixir combine for less than 100K. Full on GoWiPes within minutes of logging off. Cup offerings are low (6-10 for 2*). Attacks have been from C2&C1. I was in C2 for some time and while there aren't that many TH9s, I had zero problems finding good scores within 5-10 minutes.
People just enjoying beating up on you man. You have one of those personalities. :D

 
as it is a fail on a th8 is basically a kick. You have to be about retarted to not first hit a th8 with the new dark spell slot.
I guess myself, Guam and half of Honda are "retarted" :thumbup:

When can we expect to be booted?
My least favorite thing culdeus does is act like this game is easy.
There's nothing easier than th8 right now. You can pack somewhere on the order of 35 hogs. Hell, 17 of them can hit a DGB and it shouldn't even stop you. Stunned people are having difficulty with it.

4 wiz and 5th wiz or 4 goblin/barch/whatever

2 poison

3 heals (or even lately 2 heal 1 rage, just to push through the opening pack since often times 3 heals is just too many)

Rest hogs

cc hogs

There is literally no base design that should be able to stop this.

Start deployment with like 15 hogs then clockwise set out groups of 5 until you run out of hogs, send cc hogs in on the opposite side where you started your group of 15 and by this point it should be GG or you can do some swag for effect.

Just to make it more stylish you see people doing funny crap like pekka healer + quad quake and stuff like that.
I gave this a shot tonight in war against a max TH8 (minus the walls) with 4 central dgb spots. It worked and I didn't even rage the BK during the attack. Had about 5 hogs leftover at the end. I don't think this is an auto 3 star though. I was fortunate for an all skulls cc so I was able to save a poison for the skellies plus none of the hogs triggered both giant bombs within the dgb simultaneously. I could see this failng sometimes if your group of 15 hogs hit the dbg. Overall it's works great though.

I'm making this my secondary default TH8 war attack comp and primary comp when there's multiple dgb spots in play. If multiple dgb isn't in play I'm sticking with "The TH8 Cliff" of golem, 22 hogs, 10 wiz, 8 wb, 4 arch, cc pekka with 3 heals, poison, cc poison.

Save the poison for swag next time.

And multiple dgb spots is really a weakness not something to fear. To setup a th8 with multiple dgb means the base has to be super spread out. You will catch the occasional Tesla farm but hardly a concern. If they get too cute then just eq gohog it but that's overkill.

edit - makeup of this attack is a 3 golem attack with small squad to core (~8 wiz, 2 witches, royals) and ~18 hogs to clean up. Feel free to discuss that makeup vs others.

i would go golem in cc most of the time if i need to get into the core. witches in cc are only good for ks usage after pulling cc or general cleanup outside the base. hard to get them funneling inside coming from cc let alone when I can drop them one at a time where I want them. also gol5 to gol4 is a much better gain than witch3 to witch 2.

I go back and forth on this. If all goes as planned, you typically have a non-exploded Golem leftover so in that respect, I'd lean witches.

. I know the wall configuration and defensive placement is different but it's close. The deployment in the vid might help you with your strategy.
 
Well the greatest loot the game has ever seen has slowed down alot already. Went from BK30 to 35 during the gem boost period and barely broke a sweat. Hit people for 5-6k regularly and laid lavas like tile. Was able to just drop 20 archers and take 2k DE on boost constantly as well if queen died.

The new loot structure seems to be mainly a benefit to G/E and not Dark. Maybe. It at least allows you to sort of shadow hold some G/E for a major upgrade. Barely holds any DE at all relative to what DE upgrades actually cost. Mid range DE spend is 100k for example, the thing holds 10-14 k or so depending on TH/bonus. That's about 10% of an upgrade (ish). The thing holds damn near 1/3 of a decent G/E upgrade.

An attacker just 81% 1-starred a Honda base with 32 Level 4 hogs and max hogs in their CC. They didn't even hit a double bomb.

I'll probably have to spend hours making a wacko base design but sure why not.

Heroes probably be 20 bk 18 aq by then. No replays available yet for war weight with the maintenance. Can get that sometime tonight.

To get in the major matchups it was a requirement. There weren't many sub 80 with 60 hero levels and a max queen to get an equal with except the ones for giggles.

I just tried my first ever mass witch with a queen walk attack. Had an excellent plan. Zap quaked the multi inferno, got the queen with healers out on the left for her to walk clockwise, dropped a golem with 3 wiz behind on the right with a jump spell to walk the outer ring anti clockwise. Had 14 witches and my bk to attack the core.

But then the effing queen walked anticlockwise, the golem walked the ring clockwise, they died before the skeles got there and it was a total disaster.

Just terrible...

At least I got the TH and right on 50%. But it was supposed to be so much better.

Dunno what to say. People gemmed collectors, leave them on the edge. 6 or so archers can melt a DE collector quick. Toss in a giant or two sometimes to make sure you have it.

 
AQ walk from 12 (wb in). Quake on the puffer which ever side she goes down. GoXXX from shaded from 6 to her side.
Can also get cute with this one using an "inverted" suicide drag type thing.

Zapquake the left side air d which leaves basically nothing over there that hits air. Hell, at that point a single minion could clear the bottom 20% of the base given 1 hour to do so......

4 drags deal with queen and clan castle fairly easily. That north air d is easy to tank off the wiz towers, just got to be a little quick to get to the sweepers. CCW deploy.

Double zapquake doesn't leave room for swag, sadly. You could still swag your heroes I guess. Otherwise could use them to push in the north compartment to get that air d and wiz towers, cutting down live Air D to 1 when start that portion.

Or just stone hog it and be done with it like normal people.

Edit: IF queen is good enough could easily split hero here and let queen walk up the north side and around, be careful as those long big compartments can confuse her AI and cause her to shoot a wall so be ready for that.

Then you could use king to get the right side air d split off. Zap quake two other Air D and mass drag the base with 0 air d.

Or just hog it. Often times it's best to not overthink ### bases.

lineups are basically frozen now, don't think you'll be needed. We needed to move some people around to deal with the 45 hero margin in the low end. They had some guys that apparently took 8.5 REALLY seriously.

I can confirm two things

1. The lab will still run when you are upgrading it. You wont be able to use the upgrade until lab finishes, but it will still run

2. The star system for bonus loot has changed. I earned my first star around 9:00am yesterday. I then earned my 5 stars around 7:00 (I know, their loot incentive worked on me). I expected to start again today, however, I made one more attack last night before going to bed and I earned a star immediately. It appears there is no longer a cool down

They explained this. The only cool down is after 24 hours where you do not earn 5. Otherwise clock keeps rolling
