Matthew Stafford vs The South Carolina D

This was Georgia's first test of the year, on the road against the D that ended up being the #3 pass defense in the country.

I have to say I really enjoy breaking down the film for these and wish I had started the series earlier. I plan on writing some of these during the season next year before we are too influenced by draft rankings.

Nice job...it's similar to what you see from Stafford versus LSU in the RSP, but in that game his receivers didn't let him down. As we have discussed in several formats, stats don't mean as much unless you watch them in context. When you break down the film its the one point you consistently discover.

It's difficult to quantify decision making, field vision, pad level, footwork, etc., but that's what you were able to capture in a film analysis that you can't in a stat.

I wouldn't hang any qb for a mediocre game against a top d.

if you look at the nfl, the top d's make a lot of elite veteran qb's look silly.

credit the guy with 0 int's.

I think that's huge --- take the sack, not the int, grossman.
