Cleveland at Atlanta (1 Viewer)

Last week about an hour before the gameToni Grossi tweeted that rookie RB Isaiah Crowell would get the start but that report was contradicted by a number of sources however we saw Crow got the start.

This week Grossi didn't tweet it but he told Rizzo that he had heard rumors that we might see a Johnny Manziel package used against the Falcons sooooo....

We'll see if Toni is right two weeks in a row.

 
Ryan with a TD pass to Julio.

Not sure if they can keep it up though as it looks like Ryan is going to spend most of his afternoon on the run. ATL O-line is pretty terrible (water is wet, I know).

 
Terrible INT by Ryan. Tried to connect with Julio down the sideline but Haden had him covered perfectly. The throw was short and Haden was in front of Jones so it was an easy pick. Falcons hold Browns to a FG. Boyer did try to hit Gordon in the end zone for aTD but the throw wasn't close.

 
Strip sack of Ryan. Hoyer immediately hits Gordon for 16. Goes to him again the next play but the throw was off target. Hoyer then drops the shotgun snap setting up a third and long. After a short pass, Browns settle for another FG. Two straight Ryan turnovers but only 6 points for Cleveland.

Another stupid timeout by Smith. Falcons get to first and goal and instead of draining clock, calls timeout with a minute left. Now they score on first and it's certainly possible Cleveland scores on this defense in 55 seconds.

 
Are Mike Smith and Mike Pettine competing for worst clock management/coaching decisions at the end of a half? Geez...

 
OMG. Browns tried a 60 yard FG that Cundiff had no chance of making. Hester almost returned it for a TD with no time left on the clock.

 
lots of stupid at the end of the first half.

but i gotta give Bitonio credit for his hustle to save the TD return.

 
Who the F' in charge of clock management for the Browns?

And if Hoyer or Manziel can't load up anf launch a Hail Mary they have to find someone who can.

One of the worst coaching displays under a minute I've ever seen. First, you leave 2 timeouts on the board and have to kick a FG on 3rd down. Then you get a 2nd chance to kick a FG or throw a Hail Mary after Cundiff clearly shows he doesn't have the leg. What do you do? Try the FG again and get really lucky that Hester only goes 70 yards and is one block from a TD? Wow, just awful coaching.
 
Donte Whitner has done virtually nothing today other than be out of position on the TD pass to Julio when he left the middle of the field wide open and he also dropped what could have been a pick six.

Needs to step-it-up.
