Cleveland Browns - TE (1 Viewer)

First off, I'd like to say FBG's is hands down THE BEST fantasy football website, including information, knowledge, etc. I have been on another forum for many years, and recently signed up to FBG's and am loving it. Thanks

I've been doing some research to see who will get the majority of looks at the TE position for the Browns. Royal potentially has the most upside, but as far as dynasty, is Rucker the guy to have?

Cleveland's transitioning to a more conservative attack focused on ball control, the running game, and the short-intermediate passing game w/the occasional deep look to Edwards or whoever replaces him after the season.

Robert Royal's the perfect blue collar type of TE for this offense. He won't stretch the field, but he'll catch dump passes, play full-go at all times, run block, whatever the coaches ask of him. He's probably never going to be more than bye week filler as a fantasy TE though. Steve Heiden's an older version of Royal that's coming off surgery, who knows if he'll ever be the same but if he does come back he's just his backup.

Rucker's going to get his opportunity to prove that he's an effective pass catching TE, he'll never be confused with a run blocker, but this staff has zero ties to him. He was a day two target for the old regime, one in which Savage wanted but Romeo did not (don't get me started). It's anyone's guess how the new regime feels about him, but if he gets opportunities and does something with them he's the TE to watch in this offense as he has field stretching ability. If he doesn't generate much buzz early in camp I'd forget about him until he's sent elsewhere and even then I wouldn't get my hopes up. He's one of the guys that's going to have to have a strong start to camp if he's going to stick.

:lmao:

DO NOT COUNT HEIDEN out of the picture once he recovers from his injury.

With a new reigne anything is possible but my guess is as far as fantasy usefullness

Heiden when healthy will have best chance for a bye week fill in.

Rucker is same ole,,,same ole with new staff. Slow catching on!

Best FANTASY advice is stay away from all Brown TE'S!

Rucker just got cut.

the Browns were awarded tight end Greg Estandia off waivers from Jacksonville.

guess they must be pretty comfortable with the Heiden/Royal combo.
