Cleveland goes 0-6 vs AFC North (1 Viewer)

Even I thought the Browns would win at least one divisional game this season. Boy are they lousy.

Should Romeo keep his job? I say he should get one more season to turn it around but the prospects aren't too good. There is still considerable ground to be made up on all three other teams in the division.

Weird fact that this thread reminded me of:

The '84 Chargers went 0-8 against the AFC West.... and 7-1 against the rest of the league.

I think Cleveland has to give Romeo 1 more year for several reasons.

IMHO the 1st reason is to give this team some consistancy. The browns do seem to have more talent on the team than they have had since they came back. The drafts have been better, and another change in philosophy could put the final nail in clevelands coffin for many years to come.

This team is young and has shown some improvement, although it is minimal. Romeo seems like a decent fit to guide these young guys,he doesn't play games with them and he is willing to put the best players on the field that will help them win.

When he inherited this team it was a complete wreck,so many players were swapped out last year that this is somewhat like his first season with players he feels fit his gameplan (what it is I'm not sure).

I say he deserves one more season to see what he can do with HIS guys. 0-6 in the Div. is unaccptable but I can't say bringing in a new coach with a new system is the right answer next year.

Until they find a franchise QB and RB this team is going to struggle. The 2007 starting QB and RB are not currently on the roster.

The team does not look improved this year from last year.

:penalty: Until they get consistent line-play, a playmaker at QB, receivers that can catch the ball and/or a solid running game the Browns will be the Browns. They will be facing bigtime pressure to draft Troy Smith early in 2007.

They showed glimmers of adequacy yesterday, moving the ball on the Ratbirds and giving ground tenaciously on defense. But they killed themselves with bad plays at key moments, like giving up a sack to stop a drive or the two big bombs from Boller to Williams and Clayton. That game was in doubt until late; maybe they just need to correct a few little things to be consistently competitive.

:loco: they're on their 4th Center, which makes this just alittle difficult!the injuries have made it tough to move forward---Romeo gets another yr, IMO, to right the ship

They'll need some better QB play as well - and a back up qb. I thought they got Dorsey for Dilfer - did he get cut or does he just suck even more than the scrubs put on the field last night?
