Coles, Cotchery, Moss, Welker Owners (1 Viewer)

i benched V jackson for cotchery tonight.Of course i was pissed with 1 catch -1 yards until that last long drive . Now it looks like agreat move.To bad MOSS still sucks.
I benched Cotchery for Jackson in one league and for Housh in another (ppr). But I have him in the subscriber contest. :goodposting:

Cotchery is a punchline.
:thumbup:In my redraft (non-PPR, FBG scoring), he was WR27 entering this week and had scored 7 or more points in 7 of 9 games. If you think that's a punchline, you must play in a league that doesn't start many WRs.And LOL at anyone who benched him. (I started him.)
Funny you mention that bc it seems his production has not been that consistent (I just looked at it though and it 6 of 9 from what I can gather, and thats including 1 game where he was 70 total yards exactly bc of 8 rush yrdsAnd yes, Im salty I started him in every league but my big $$ one

haha. I was thinking the same thing when the Jets Defense scored.. I'm playing against the Jets D but have them in the subscriber contest....

Benching Cotchery for Breaston in PPR.
Oooh. Ballsy.
It really isn't. Breaston has been great the last 4-5 weeks.
I realize that, but this week's different than each of those. I have both; starting Cotchery. Hope I'm right.
Phew, just checked the score, and I'm done at half. Love that.Gonna go watch the 2nd half and everything else is gravy. It's especially good on a Thursday game.

Looks like a slopfest at New England tonight. No serious wind issues but plenty of rain and a potentially ugly field. Anyone sitting one (or more if you have them) of these WRs tonight based on the potential conditions?
I'm sitting Cotchery. But not because of the weather. But because he's been a huge fail this season. Hasn't done anything for me since Week 4.
Sitting Cotchery. He has killed me the last 2 weeks.I have to play MOSS no matter what though.
Ugly field can also hinder the D. Moss catches short passes and makes people miss tonight on a slippery field -- over 100yards and a TD. Mark it down.
first 4 posts in this thread was spot on

way to be THAT guy....Trust your instincts, look at the pregame coverage, make your own decisions......

GLLL all. And, thanks to Favre for throwing the TD to Cotchery after he made an AMAZING catch.

Ehh, yanked Cotch out of my lineup about 7 minutes before kickoff... I've had a gut feeling all week Holmes will finally have a big game; hope it was due to clairvoyance and not just indigestion....

Wound up starting Cotch last night in one of the two leagues I have him in. Royal and Steve Smith got the start over him in the other league....

so is this another weather thread that went terribly wrong?
 The weather didn't turn out to be a factor because it didn't rain like the forecast said it would. I'm glad it didn't because if it had I may have given more serious thought to sitting Cotchery despite my belief that he was going to have a good game.

He should've had another TD, but it looks like he gave up on the route a bit early, and Favre threw ahead of him, to where he should've been. Still, some acrobatic catches and good effort on the others. Could've been bigger. I'll still be questioning it next week, I'm sure, especially with Favre's new infatuation with Keller.

I don't think it's so much an infatuation with Keller as taking what the defense gives. Keller was wide open all night... of course he threw to him.

I agree. Sucks as a Cotchery owner but Favre made the right throws. I can't complain about Cotchery's production because it was very good but at halftime I thought he was headed toward an outstanding game. Only one reception in the second half kinda sucked.

Yes, that is the certainly the biggest part of it, and that was sort of tongue in cheek. BUT, the announcers pointed out several times how much Favre was raving over Keller. When a QB likes a guy, he'll look for him more often, that's all.

Keller's arguably the most talented TE Favre has ever played with (making note that Keith Jackson was still very good but not in his prime when he played for the Packers). It's easy to see why Favre is raving about him. But he has raved about Coles and Cotchery too. The Jets have a lot of weapons offensively and Favre excels at spreading the ball around. He stopped playing favorites when Sterling Sharpe retired. If you're open, he'll find you. Keller was open repeatedly last night and Favre got him the ball. If defenses adjust and leave one of the WRs open, he'll find them too. Keller could be looking at another big game next week. The Titans have had issues stopping TEs. It's a great matchup for Keller.
