Honestly not sure if this belongs in The Shark Pool or somewhere else, but here goes:
I've always been interested in the possibility of NCAA fantasy football. But there are clearly some major obstacles, the most glaring of which seems to be that obscure (and not very good) players from random schools can rack up major fantasy points on any given week, and the waiver wire would be insanely active with picking up whatever player is playing a terrible Div I-AA defense.
But it seemed to me there is one time of the year where this dynamic doesn't necessarily apply: Bowl Season. Have any of you heard of a fantasy football league that runs for Bowl Season only? Basically you draft a team of players who are in a bowl game, and so each of them will only play a single game, and the league runs a month (bowl season), with the winner being announced after the national championship. It seems like it could be a really cool concept, but I've never heard of one being run. Has anyone heard of something like this? Could get interesting, too, with integration of college playoffs. Lots of room for variations based on that. Could MFL host it?
