College football better than NFL? (1 Viewer)

Same argument as college basketball vs NBA.  The pros are easily more skilled, but the college game is A LOT more fun to me.   Way more diversity in styles of play, and the kids making mistakes are part of the game    For sure more mismatches and blowouts though.

I watched a few minutes of an NBA game the other day.  First half.  Most of the crowd just sat with their arms crossed.

Clemson score?

Bama game?

Just so not as competitive as the pros.
I could not have said it better myself. Most NFL games are much closer than most Ncaa games.

Part of it is that the NFL does not allow teams to make up their own non conference schedules.

I second WhatDoIKnow but with a caveat. I've always loved pro football more and college basketball. Just a personal opinion, nothing theoretical nor abstract.

Do you have a local NFL team you root for?

Are you a fan of a college team that has had recent or historic success?

I think those questions can affect your feelings.

Game after game yesterday was a blowout.
Oklahoma-Texas Tech was pretty good.

I went to see Ga. Tech-UNC (both teams suck) and it was an entertaining game.  Using a Clemson and Alabama blowout to make a point is stupid.  That was point of the mentioning the Bills game.

To each his own some people like one better and other like the other one better.

There are a ton of college games on so there will be some close games here and there. Just look at the pointspreads to see what I am saying.

NFL quality of games is better.  I think college football is more entertaining/fun.

Can't stand the NBA. I was a fan of the Pistons during their bad boys days, the rivalry with the bulls, Celtics and Lakers made the seasons fun. Winning helps of course. But since then, other than respecting what LeBron can do, I just don't see a reason to watch.  College basketball is fun (helps that I'm a Jayhawk).!

Can see this for sure.

Yep.

Now that we live in Alabama, Saturdays are a lot of fun. I liked bama since I was a kid (I think I mostly just liked the elephant, but the first college sweatshirt I bought was the Tide).

Meanwhile I'm a fan of the Titans but they've been disappointing.

More than half the states don’t have a team - there’s much more passion and fandom for college than pros and the atmosphere shows that.

I think it also depends on where you live in the county.  The south seem to favor college football more than professional.

Based on hollywood, Texas favors high school football the most.  Is that true, Texas residents?

Texans celebrate football in all its glorious forms.  Friday is for High School, Saturday is College, and Sunday/Monday is pro.  Thursday games other than on Thanksgiving are an abomination.
