PJ Hill, RB, Wisc (he's only a freshman, so you got plenty of time to scout him... watch the guys he is running behind, particularly Joe Thomas), Chad Henne, QB, Mich, Mike Hart, RB, Mich, Mario Manningham, WR, Mich,

Alex Daniels, RB, Minn, Matt Spaeth, TE, Minn, Dorien Bryant, WR, Purdue, Kory Sheets, RB, Purdue, Curtis Painter, QB, Purdue (Purdue guys aren't all that good if you ask me)

Mario Urritia, WR, Louisville, Kolby Smith, RB, Louisville, Jordy Nelson, WR, K State

Let's use this thread to report what we're seeing...
Quentin Moses, UGA... Gaines Adams, James Davis, Clem... VTech LBs.... Brian Leonard, Rutgers... Kenny Irons, Auburn (for the games before 3)

PJ Hill TD 29 yard rec from Stocco.Big back with speed and moves, looks good so far.
Very promising combo of burst and a low, thick build. Seems to get up to full speed quickly and has good vision when the play as designed would not work. Keep in mind that no one has been able to run on Michigan this year (big ups to the Wisconsin line so far too). Definitely prominent on my non-draft eligible RB radar.

I was going to mention CJ Spiller (RB, Clemson) too. He was one of the top 2 RB recruits of out H.S. in this past class. He hasn't played that much this year since they got Merriweather and Davis... but he did just score.

WR David Ball (New Hampshire) has just tied Jerry Rice's career TD record at 50. Is he worth anything in the 2007 draft, Bloom?

Manningham (not draft eligible) had a nice TD catch. He was well covered, but just went and won the ball. He looks a lot like Braylon.

Sure, should be a mid rounder. Seems like a natural WR and good athlete from what Ive read. The A-10 produced Marques Colston in this year's draft class.

Manningham will be a great WR this time next year.... if he's not already. Kids got great skills.

Dorien Bryant (WR-Purdue) is small, but lightning quick and a burner to boot. He really knows how to keep the play alive after the catch.

There's nothing outstanding about Mike Hart (RB-Mich), but he seems to get decent yards after contact, and just did an amazing job setting up his blocks on a screen. He's not flashy, but is a quality all around RB - I don't see him as a blue chip RB prospect, but he's at least backup quality in the NFL and has the well rounded set of tools to get on the field early in his career.

I think his limited accleration, speed and quickness will hurt him greatly at the NFL level. Seems to be a very good college RB though.

I'm anxious to watch Arkansas QB Mitch Mustain (true Frosh.). I think he's quite possibly the best QB prospect to come along in awhile. I saw him play a couple games in high school & I believe he's basically a QB prodigy.

Not sure what he'll do against a team like Alabama, but give Mustain some time & he'll put Arkansas on the map (along with true Soph. RB Darren McFadden). Mustain will be a #1 overall pick, IMO.

PSU @ OSU

Smith looks like a totally different QB then the first 3 games of the year so far. Had Ginn open for a deep pass and overthrew him terribly. Nice INT made by Justin King.

Ray Rice (RB-Rutgers)-Soph, 5th leading rusher in the nation
I'll second that. Keep him on your radar screen. He's looking pretty good, albeit not against top competition yet. the real test comes on nov 2 against louisville.

I've been saying for a while that I think Antonio Pittman out of OSU is one of the better NFL prospects in the country. Certainly most underrated. Big, strong, runs over people and falls forward.

Very Eddie George-ish, back in his heydey.

I was just headed here to post the same thing. Got a solid thick build, this kid is definitely flying under the radar.

He has looked very much like a Freshman. He made a coupel of really nice throws at points, but has made 4 or 5 really bad decisions since that point. Excellent pass to close out the game in overtime. BTW, when are college coaches going to stop setting up for field goals with kickers who have already missed earlier in game. sorry, Alabama's coach lost that one.

Tim Tebow (also a true Freshman) looking like the next Vince Young in his change of pace role for FLA right now. Never seen the kid throw the ball yet, the other team's gotta KNOW he's gonna run it, but he just ran through the Kentucky D for 60 yards and looked like Mike Stinkin' Vick.

If you haven't heard of this guy already, Robert Meachem, WR Tennessee. Just from what I've seen if this can't make it in the NFL then I don't know who can.

6-3 210 and hands like spider-man. I like him a lot. Keep an eye on him.

Shocked Tony Hunt didn't get a mention here. Not only were his stats impressive -- 24/135 -- but he looked just as good as those numbers would indicate. PSU had 11 straight runs at one point, and Hunt kept banging forward for large gains despite everyone knowing what Penn State was doing.

I have no idea how good OSU's run D is supposed to be, but considering their national ranking, I'd have to imagine it's pretty good.

Hunt is a top 5 Senior RB for sure.Brady Quinn silenced some critics today.Tyler Palko making his case to be a decent NFL QB.Garrett Wolffe putting up video game numbers as usual making his case to be a decent NFL RB.

The Buckeyes run Def is very suspect this year so far. Could be their downfall especially against a team like Michigan.

that TD pass Troy Smith made in the 4th qtr where he rolled right then cut back and hammered a 40 yrd td pass (which was closer to 60 in actual distance) was a Big Time play.... That was too good to be luck.

Drew Stanton, QB, MI State.1st round pick in next year's draft.
This wasn't really a question. Question now is, is he going to be the first QB drafted... and will he go top 5?
Don't give up on Quinn so quickly, and not just because he outplyed Stanton today. He's a big strong kid, with a great arm. He showed great touch today on both TD passes to McKnight. They haven't had a running game all year because of the line and thats hurt Quinn's numbers. He's back in the Heisman race after today, especially considering NDs remaining schedule (minus USC at the end). He's the first QB to go in the draft and potentially the first overall pick depending on who holds it.

Quinn didn't outplay Stanton. MSU handed that game over. :bag: I'll take Stanton over Quinn anyday. You can talk about Heisman-hypeall you want. Just look at what it did for Leaf, Crouch, Harrington, etc....

Garrett Wolfe– The Northern Illinois tailback rushed for 353 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-28 victory at Ball State. He surpassed his previous personal best of 325 rushing yards set two years ago, and set an NCAA record for most rushing through five games at 1,181.

I can't decide if Manningham is making Henne look good or if Henne is making Manningham look good by throwing perfect passes and hitting him in stride. Perhaps they both are damn good. Henne and Manningham and company are probably the only real obstical between OSU and a national championship.
