Not an NFL topic at all but just something I was wondering if it would improve the college game (aside from the obvious playoffs that are badly needed). What if somehow, really good D1AA schools that are top programs for numerous years (i.e...your Appalacian States) migrate up to D1 and the really bad D1 schools (that have proven really bad for several years) lose their D1 status and are forced to move down? Wouldn't it be nice to see less of the 30+ point spreads on the Vegas line each week in college ball and make for more competitive games? Make all D1 schools play 10+ reasonably tough games each year and not have the 2-3 "patsie" games that alot of big-time programs prefer to keep in their schedule. Not sure how it would work but could it make the D1 level more competitive?

This concept works in British soccer. I don't know the specifics but basically every year the tragic/bottom couple of teams in the "Premier league" get bumped down into the British minor league system and 2-3 minor league teams move up to the "Premier league". Something like that anyway.

College football is about generating revenue and giving the boosters something to brag about, not having competitive games. Your proposal would fly in the face of that.
