Once the East Coast media wakes up (which will take about three months), you'll be hearing about this freshman from Cal.

Listed at 6'0" 205, this 4-star recruit out of southern California graduated high school early, and recommitted to Cal after decommitting and considering offers from Georgia, USC and others. And in his fourth game he just went bananas on Arizona, demonstrating great balance, strength up the middle, and explosive speed on 19 carries for 274 yards and three TDs, for which he was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week.

(At 1:20, crappy tackling but still a nice play on his part).

His style's a little upright so he reminds me a bit of Chris Brown.

He's clear that his goal is to get to the NFL, and barring injury, he's going to get a chance to go early. If you've got devvy drafts, you should pay attention.

Well, we managed to get through the last year of the Pac-12 without mentioning the running back who led the conference in rushing with 1303 yards (108.6 per game) and scored 15 TDs, as clearly the best player on his offense.

He's gonna play in the NFL. He's blazingly fast, at least 4.4 speed, maybe 4.3. He's strong for as fast as he is, and has great balance. He can catch the ball. And as you'll see in the below highlight reel, most of his big runs come up the middle. He's not the shiftiest guy but his straight-line speed is elite.

He's announced he's coming back to Cal in 2024 so this is still a deep stash. But of the guys with real NFL prospects he's probably among the most available.
