Colonoscopy prep day- AMA (1 Viewer)

Got a letter in the mail yesterday telling me it is time to schedule my next one...

ETA...sorry to hijack your thread Tecumseh. I thought this was the general colonoscopy thread when I clicked on it.

Asked my new pcp to order a colonoscopy. Group doing the procedure offered some dates. I chose the 1st one, in March ☹
Got a call saying it needed to be scheduled sooner. So I took the 1st available. Dec 27. Diet prep requirements start 3 days before. Will put a damper on the usual Christmas celebrations. ☹

What do you mean diet prep requirements?

I would eat normally all the way up to my prep. The only thing I wouldn't do the day before the prep is drink heavily.

Starting with 3 days before I'm not supposed to eat much fiber stuff. Mostly white bread, crackers, pasta, mashed potatoes plus some protein.

Just noticed it doesn't say anything about alcohol.
