For sure, there were many leagues where he was drafted. But I would guess that in most typical redraft leagues, he was a waiver pickup. He came into the season as the fifth option at best on a team that didn't throw it very well last year. In a 12-team, 18-round draft, he probably didn't get drafted too often.

And that Mathews run is a perfect example of why people need to chill with the whole "mathews is soft" label. Guy gets a head of steam one week after a concussion, and he's lowering his head and driving into the defense. He definitely gets hurt more than most, but a large part of that is because the guy's motor never stops.

He's had plenty of action...six touches in one half for a third down back is plenty. They're finally giving Mathews the kind of work he should have always been getting
