Pep Hamilton is the worst OC in the NFL
I have to agree with this. The Colts have possibly the best young QB to come out since Peyton Manning and what do the Colts do? Decide it's time to
go ultra hard-core conservative and run, run, run, run that ball. Colts fans, is it fair to say your offense has been Pepified? Maybe Peppered? I'm not a Colts fan, but if I was I would be frustrated by this new offense that is CLEARLY holding Luck back.
Um... there were only 13 RB rushes.
Um... have you even watched the Colts this year? From 2012 to this year their passing/ypg is down from 258 to 215, their rushing/ypg is up from 104 to 132. Those are drastic differences. Did you watch the game? It's not the quantity that really matters. It's the style of offense the Colts have chosen to run this year. Luck threw deep twice in the entire game. They chose to run at strange times and pass for very short yardage at even worse times. These are designed play calls. Even John Gruden was confused about why the Colts have adopted this system and commented on it several times. Though, I suppose fantasy football ninjas probably see things the rest of us don't.
Yes, we see things like basic facts. Including the fact that you look like a dummy when you cry about the team deciding to "run, run, run, run" when they actually only ran the ball 13 times. Now if you want to say they were too conservative or should throw deep more, then sure, you could easily make a case for that. But there is a difference between being ultra conservative and running the ball too much. They can both occur at the same time or they can occur individually. In this case there were 48 offensive snaps and they only called 13 running plays, thus your "run, run, run, run" comment reeks of angry Luck/Hilton fantasy owner or frustrated fan, but shows no semblance of informed observer.
As for the 258 vs. 215 passing yards and 104 vs. 132 rushing yards, there is a very obvious reason for this and if you'd stop being so whiny, you'd probably be able to see it. I'll start off with a basic fact: when teams are winning they tend to run the ball more. Well, this year the Colts have 148 PF vs. 98 PA, whereas last year they had 357 PF vs. 387 PA, yet miraculously finished 11-5, which means they were forced to throw the ball a lot to either stage a comeback or just to try to catch up during a blow out. It stands to reason that even if they had not changed offensive coordinators, that there would be a drastic shift in passing attempts and rushing attempts.
