The NFL Draft is right around the corner.

Enjoy your off season with us Bears fans.

Face it.... Favre had a Grossman like performance.

Grossman got outplayed by Manning last year to end the Bears season.

Favre got outplayed by Manning this year to end the Packers season.

Pretty poor second half showing by the Packer offense, for the most part. Favre apparently forgot what the word 'check down' meant, and the OC forgot he could run the ball. Ahh well.

I'm amazed at Manning's confidence in the pocket and cool demeanor down the stretch.

Who needs Jeremy Shockey!

Plaxico and Manning came up huge today, and the Giants defense did as well - as they have since early this season after an early funk.

Coaching forgot what got them there.Shorter passes...quick passes.Instead...every pattern on that INT was 15 yards or so.Awful play calling all game long.

The Manning brothers ended Grossman's season last year, and Favre's this year. END OF STORY. FACT! Deal with it.

Eli earned my respect today, no question about it.

Mr. Pack you get it. The Packers got beat. End of story - there's not that much more to it.

Eli Manning and Plaxico played the games of their careers tonight.

Sad that your joy needs to be gained by kicking someone when they are down. Having read you for many years now, this is exactly what I expect from you.

Sad to say that many Packer fans deserve all they get of this type of thing. I believe it's called reaping what you've sown, or something like that.......

Memo to McCarthy: You have had a running game. Too bad you didn't use it.

ETA: Kudos to NYG, they played to win.

One thing that I find interesting is that in 2001 when Da Bears went 13-3, they were swept by the Pack.

This year the Pack goes 13-3 and were swept by Da Bears.

Both teams failed to reach the SB.

This year's Packers team was superior to that Bears team - at least they won a playoff game. I think that Bears team was one of THE WORST 13-3 teams in the history of the NFL.

The Packers were never a serious threat to put together a long, consistent drive all game long. Their 2 TD drives were the one long pass to Driver and the Madison personal foul-aided drive. Did anyone really think that in their last drive of regulation or first drive of OT, the Packers were about to march down the field for the win? I didn't.

Favre's poor throws didn't help, but he also made big plays. The Packers offense came up short in 2 ways:

1. Poor play calling by the Packers. They never exploited the short passing game - the GB WRs versus the Giant corners in the open field is a mismatch.

2. Ryan Grant: 13 rushes, 29 yards.

Felt bad about Favre..but Cheese heads stinks as you all saw today at home in zero weather come-on weak players..takes guts to win and NYG shows that..bye bye

Agreed, however, IMO, the Pack overachieved this year. The Pack haed momentum and snuck up on a lot of teams this season. I don't see them doing as well next season. :lmao:

I feel bummed for Brett Favre and Donald Driver, but my healthy displeasure for Packers fans has me doing a little selfish :lmao: tonight. At least this way, more kids will be safe from their fathers duct-taping Packers jerseys to their bodies to show their team loyalties. Or, more true to form, maybe a few more kids will end up having throw-back jerseys duct-taped to their bodies after their dads get drunk and then share a three-hour oratory about how great those Packers teams were back in the 60s (before half of them were even born). :lmao:

I feel for you, Packers! You were the better team this season (just not today), and should have earned a trip to Arizona. The team showed a LOT of heart, and a Super Bowl title would have been a story for the ages. As for Packers fans?! Enjoy the long, cold off-season of bars and bowling...as well as picking around 10-12 spots behind the Purple in the 2008 Draft... :horns:

I think most of us Pack fans will admit we got beat by the better team today. That being said I think it's low and classless for a Bears or Vikes fan to come in here, take cheap shots and kick us while we're down. Should I not be surprised?

Awful playcalling, or simply a case of Favre falling back into his "gunslinger" mentality.

You would be much better served dispensing this moral outrage towards Green Bay fans instead of fans from other teams. When you have taken the time to control your own you'll have earned the right to spew this sort of nonsense towards fans from other teams. If I'm wrong, please direct me to your outrage towards Green Bay fans that have "taken cheap shots" and "kicked others while they were down".

Disappointed I couldn't find the game anywhere on Sopcast, TVU, etc. and having not seen the game, I have no basis for criticizing the Pack's performance today. What I will say is, I'm extremely proud of the Packer's play all season: I thought they'd struggle to reach .500. They've been consistently entertaining all year long, outperformed my expectations all year long, and like all Packer teams have throughout their history, they will feel their fans' support now that they're down even more than when they were winning. Lambeau Field will be packed next year, just like it's always been. It'll be packed for scrimmages, just like it's always been. Congrats to the Giants and their fans, and best of luck in the Superbowl! But the Pack, and it's fans, will always be back!

Search function down?! :lmao:Just kidding, just kidding. If you'll pay for my time though, I'll go back and dredge-up a few hundred postings from Packer-Backers doing a little dance of joy when the Bears or Vikings have pretty-much ANYTHING bad happen to them. It might be the minority of fans out there doing the smack-talking, but I've lived for 37 years in the great State of Minnesota, and already had a lifetime's worth of sewage from Green and Gold fans shoveled my way. You've got a great team with a storied history....but man alive have you got some unbearable fans with nothing better to do but cheer-on a professional football team. Kinda of like the "professional" version of "Friday Night Lights," a movie I just watched last night. Check that: almost EXACTLY like the parents and fans portrayed in that movie. The world is a LOT bigger than Odessa, TX....or Green Bay, WI, for that matter. But I say this sincerely though: if you're a Packers fan, savor the 2007 season...even though it didn't end in a win. The team didn't look that great today, but the Packers had a tremendous season. Enjoy it! Just don't make me link to your last post about Packers fans always being excellent to Bears or Vikings fans...especially in your own words. :lmao: I'll admit that we Vikings (or Bears) fans like to revel in a little Packer-fan misery from time to time...but you're kidding yourself if you don't believe that it isn't the result of YEARS or provocation...

Same was said about Dallas however - and the conditions were great for passing in that game. Giants got enough pressure on Favre and its hard to call a mismatch when the DBackfield gets those two big INTs and some very good break ups. The fact is, Green Bay had one really good play and it was a DBack losing traction and getting chucked for a 90 yard TD. Other than that, the Giants defensive backs played great (except madisons bonehead penalty).

I'd be remiss not to congratulate the Packers fan on a fine season. Everybody can't win the Super Bowl (as proven by 31 teams each season - including my beloved Bears last year).

You're team is NOT Brett Favre and a bunch of others any longer. You've got a stout defense, a physical offensive line (that didn't allow one sack yesterday btw), an unheralded running back that came out of nowhere and a great group of receivers. The glass is half full for Packers fans, and I look forward to continuing our rivalry next season. :X

Have to agree. Eli (and the Giant D Line) had a great game. The only area the packers had an edge was Kicker.

This is the most intelligent post I've found in this thread. The play calling was horrendous....6 mins left in the 4th quarter, the Pack get the ball back after the 1st missed field goal and instead of eating time and going for short yardage gains, dump offs....they go for long routes and I think it was 3 and out. Some thing in OT when they won the coin toss.Oh, and what was with all the Packer players trying to scooop up the damned fumble inside 2 mins instead of falling on the damned thing? They had ample opportunity to win that game and blew it. Favre's interception going for Driver was horrendous. The Giants DID play a better game and Eli was very very consistent.Major dissappointing game for us Packer fans....obviously with a loss, but to lose at home THAT way in OT after having SO many 2nd chances to take the game.

What a tough game to watch as a Packer fan. The Giants were in control of the whole game and it just was not reflecting it on the scoreboard. I kept holding out hope for a miracle but deep down inside I knew by the 4th quarter that the Giants were whipping my Packers behinds. Hats off to the Giants who came more prepared to win that game which was a real disappointment for me.

I think GB threw mostly short passes all game and many times checked down short of the 1st down. The main difference in teh game was the Giant tackling was excellent. GB seemed out of sync all day. The Giants defense played a large hand in that because Grant had the one 15 yard run (which had an exact hold similar to the one that called back the Bradshaw TD) and his other 12 carries netted about 14 yards. the Giant d line controlled the LOS.Favre looked old today though as he missed some guy that Brady will not.
