They are totally ruining this board! If people are not smart enough to go check them in there own forum then they are not worth the space they take up! I mean enough is enough they are really ruining this board! Every other post..player spotlight Joe who cares here. I find myself just leaving the entire site sometimes. Then when you want to check one you have to go through all the posts, maybe even 15 pages deep, here then vice versa when we want to check out a good post that belongs in here. This is the no brainer of all times yet you still keep piling them on us here. Enough is enough give them there own dam forum and maybe people will actually give them the respect they deserve! I know I don't check them on this board it's not what i want when reading this forum but if they had there own forum all together I definitely would spend much time there reading them all. Come on now if this doesn't make sense to you here then there is a problem. Here they aggravate us mostly and don't get the respect they should but if they had there own spot they would get much more attention. Who the heck wants to wade through all these posts pages to find the one or two spotlights that you really want to check up on when you could go to there own forum and find them easily and maybe enjoy them and the other 300 of them? No brainer here guys.

POSTS.

Chris Brown signs in DENVER!!

Player spotlight...Kevin Walter

Player spotlight....Reche Caldwell..........enough here please it will only make the place BETTER.

It is "stickied" above.

I enjoy the spotlights, and I certainly don't find it difficult to scroll down a bit to skip anything I'm not interested in.

Joined June 11, 2007. He has suffered so much for so long already we should probably just immediately accomodate him. I know in his 24 hours on the boards, he can certainly speak for me in saying what mostg of us like or don't like. Great posting!

Just stay off the site and you'll be fine. :excited:

It has always been our approach to solicit the message board's opinion about various players in the spotlight series. We respect our posters' collective football knowledge and strive to include their best-articulated viewpoints in the "official" articles that are created from these "Spotlight" posts.

It would be much easier for Jason to not post these items and reduce his editing/reading load by approximately 90%. However, the spotlights feature actively solicits the boards' opinion, and includes it, by design.

Many of our current staff writers attracted the notice of and/or reinforced their reputation as quality writers to Joe and David by their thoughtful and well-written responses to the spotlights series.

MB members should view the "Spotlights" as a chance to show the editors/moderators/staff members your best abilities as fantasy football observers/commentators. Jason includes selections of the best responses in each article - why wouldn't a FF poster/observer want to participate and compete with all the other FF posters on the board to show the excellence of your particular and unique fantasy football analysis?

I don't understand the complaint here.

I'd agree if there was enough news to fill the first page with quality threads. Right now there isn't.

The offseason is all about debating the players anyway.

Now see, this is a mistake. There is no need to try to defend the practice of player spotlights. You've been on internet forums for how many years now? And how often have you seen someone change their mind because of what someone else posted? Zero. Your post won't convince anyone that they are a good idea. There's no point in trying.

I think spotlights are a great tool to get discussion going on players.

Why are you on the message board, if its not to learn and receive insight on NFL players? Seriously?

OP makes some sense.

Honestly, the SP is too crowded to be useful. Too much arguing and shtick. Things need to be more subdivided and better organized.

Ummm... do you sense some irony here?

:bye: It takes very little to scroll down to things we all want to read. It's not like this stuff is scrolled 5 pages down or anything.

Is it possible this is all a :goodposting: with the intent of planting this red herring in everyone's minds so when people are at there drafts they think this is true and change there drafting because of it???

:goodposting: :goodposting: Good Post twice for each of you. I have zero issue with the spotlight series. I don't often post in them, but I love to read them.I do agree that they should probably have their own forum, but scrolling is not a huge issue, making the origanel poster's rant meaningless.

I'm feeling dense, I don't get it. Please clue me in before the thred is locked.
OP used "there" when "their" should have been used.
Must've been deleted or something cuz I still don't see it, though that was what I was looking for.I for one would feel inconvenienced if I had to go to another forum to find this week's player spotlights. I like seeing them in chunks and when the time comes for me to do full research I know exactly where ot find them. In fact, they are one of the reasons I joined FBG in the first place. I like all my news in one spot and the spotlights are a part of it.

:goodposting: :goodposting: Wouldn't it make it easier then, if they had their own thread, instead of trying to scroll 10 plus pages deep in August to find the early spotlights?

Yeah I hate it when focused off-season discussion about fantasy players is jammed into a convenient, searchable messageboard.

If want to read crap like Player Spotlights, go to a fantasy football forum!!!! :goodposting:
