Comedy Central Roast of William Shatner (1 Viewer)

Good stuff so far -

fave was actually Betty White so far!

Artie was good as well -

What do you say to a science fiction icon who gained a lot of weight and became embarassing? You say, what happened Carrie Fisher?? :lmao:

BTW - for you Stern fans - they edited in Fisher laughing - Artie said she went to the bathroom and wasn't there during the joke. He said she came up to him later and joked - who the hell are you to be telling fat jokes!!!

WTF, does Farrah Fawcett have brain damage now? No amount of booze or drugs should be able to wreak this much havoc on one person....

"Betty White is so old that the first time she appeared on a game show, the grand prize was fire" :lmao:

This is on in Denver in about 10 mins. They ARE editing this, aren't they? Or is this the uncensored version? Figure it is still too early to let it all go just yet.

I didn't watch much of this but I did see the feline slang for female genatalia get by, don't know if that is usually censored or not?

"Fred Willard is dryer than what's in Betty White's panties."

While it was entertaining, it was nowhere as funny as the Denis Leary or Pam Anderson roasts.

George Takai was pretty f'n funny though...

The woman who was savaged repeatedly for looking like a horse and having a soft spot for men of color was great.

Comedy Central has picked two solid honorees. Both Shatner and Pam are aware of their own dubious merits which makes it easier to enjoy.

and to think if he hadn't had such a big career as captain kirk on star trek he could have been one of the greatest spoken word singers of his generation... bill was a seminal rapper long before grandmaster flash & white lines & NWAs straight outa compton.

It appears Farrah was playing the role of Courtney Love.

I liked the lines making fun of Jason Alexander.

"When I heard you were hosting, I was worried the show was going to be cancelled before it even got to my turn."

"It is odd to see you being funny in something other than a rerun."

George Takai was the highlight. Gay jokes are just funny. I did notice with Takai there they started moving Andy #### (whose presentation made no sense) from gay jokes to gay and bestiality jokes.

I thought Shatner went a little too far with the black jokes at the end. Otherwise, pretty funny.

All the bits are now on youtube, just in case anyone was interested.

Jeff Ross on Jason Alexander: "You come from the planet Trying-Too-Hard. You dance, you sing. You do everything but make people laugh--although I did love you in March Of The Penguins."
