This is my first year as Commish (10th year playing) and we have a low team fee for playing ($20). This year, 2 of the guys that are playing are buddies of the previous commish (who is no longer playing) and I don't know them, nor do any of the other teams. I invited all the teams who played last year, which is why they are playing again. They have not yet sent their $20 to the Treasurer, despite repeated e-mails and posts to the message board. I doubt they are online much since they don't respond and one didn't even set his line-up this week to cover 2 players on a bye (giving the 1st place team an easy win ). We use Yahoo, which doesn't allow you to delete a team mid-season, so what would you do? I have the option to "lock" a team, preventing them from making trades, waivers moves, or roster moves. I can also take over their team and drop their players, but that would only give an unfair advantage to those teams they have yet to play. Any ideas on how to handle this to make it fair for everyone? I'm assuming the answer is to just play it out, distribute the prize $ we did receive with apologies to the winner, then not invite them back next year. Or is there some other Yahoo thing I can do that I don't know about? I thought there used to be a place to post commissioner questions, but I don't see it now. If I am moved, please direct me to where to go.
