Companies You Believe In (1 Viewer)

I normally shop around to try to find the best price when I’m buying something, but there’s a few companies I always do business with and don’t bother comparing prices with their competitors.

The first one is Alamo Rent A Car. I love how I can go straight from the plane to the garage and pick out my car. Never have to wait in line. I also don’t bother checking the car for scratches/dents when I pick up the car, and have never had any issues renting from them.

Another one is Fast Park (airport parking). I use them when I fly out of BWI, but I’ve seen them in other cities as well. They tell you what row to park in, so no having to search for a spot. The shuttle immediately picks you up right at your car, and drops you off right at your car when you return. They have plenty of shuttles, so you don’t have to wait long at the airport on your way back. It’s pretty cheap (I think $8.95 a day at BWI) and they give you a free bottle of water when you leave.

Now that LL Bean has changed their warranty to 1 year for most products, I don't trust them as much. For a long time their percale sheets were routinely rated very highly, but now people are complaining about the quality dropping off and seeing tears way too early.

Southwest Airlines - Not always the cheapest but they never leave me stranded and they don't have silly operational issues like the other airlines.

USAA - Again, not the cheapest but I never have to question my coverage and the service is top notch.

Amazon - Changed my life.  I always hated going to places to buy things.  Now I never do.  I am also now incapable of buying things without reviews to look at.

That is one I am torn on. Prices, convenience and service can't be beat but I am really not a fan of how they treat employees and I don't like what they are doing to local business. I will shop there from time to time but I've transitioned back to shopping at local stores.

I almost posted this too, but I will compare prices and use other airline when it’s significantly cheaper. But if the price is close, I definitely prefer to fly Southwest.

Ever since Sears bought them - their return policy changed and the quality of at least some of the stuff went way down.  I used to love their merino wool dress sox - high quality and durable.  The material got substantially thinner and much poorer in quality ...I mean it wasn't even close to the same sock.  They would get holes in the toe or heel area within a couple of weeks.  They quit accepting my returns on these ####ty sox and just said order some different sox if these aren't good enough.

That would never happen with the real Lands End.

Good thing he was talking about L.L. Bean. ;)
