The Patriots will have a big rookie class this year if they don't trade some of these picks to move up !!!

Pats got lucky. I love Evans and Izzo's been fun on ST for forever but this Lost: Heath Evans, Jabar Gaffney, Larry Izzo, LaMont Jordan, Lonnie Paxton. shouldn't get 4 picks.

I think the Titans could have got a 4th or 5th for Carr. (I know it's not exact like that but Haynesworth is the 3rd) He was a top KR that was so key and also a backup CB that played.

I believe Carr had a 2-year deal with the Titans and only played one year and was released. If he was cut, he would not be eligible for compensatory pick consideration.

2 year deal for 2008+2009Ravens cut a couple CBs before they signed him so maybe that's the confusion

It looks like the info I saw was wrong (Carr getting a two year deal from TEN). Looks like it was only a yearlong contract, making him a full UFA. So yes, he would have been eligible to be included in the loss column for the Titans in terms of the formula for determining compensatory picks.

Why is there only 95 picks in the first 3 rounds? Was some team penalized for something?

Nevermind: Washington used their 3rd in the supplemental draft last year.

I wonder if teams like the Patriots do this on purpose...hoard veterans knowing after they've kept them 1-2 years they'll lose them and get comp picks.

I was just curious, does anyone know where to find a list of all the Compensatory picks from the last decade or so. I think it would be interesting to see who some of the best Compensatory picks have been of all time.

Does anyone have a Compensatory pick that they can list off who turned out to be a great pick for thier team?

I don't have a list but I know Hines Ward was a compensatory pick for the Steelers in '98.
