When watching the game last night, it is obvious Polamalu is a huge reason the Steelers can confuse opposing quarterbacks into huge mistakes. Then I was thinking about who could be on a 3-4 defense such as the Steelers and cause the greatest amount of confusion. The first thought was Adalius Thomas at OLB could switch roles with Polamalu and both could be blitzing, playing man, run supporting, or playing zone on any given play. Then I conisidered who at the other S and OLB positions would make the defense almost impossible to predict. I came with the following...
OLBs - Adalius Thomas, Julian Peterson
Ss - Troy Polamalu, Sean Taylor
Are there any other players you think would be a better defensive disguise and greatly effective? How about other positions?
