Republicans: $350 million for a useless NASA structure, totally cool. Remember that next time you hear one talk about how much they're the party of "small government".

Well, we can either spend $53 million and finish the structure, or spend $40 million on unemployment for those who get laid off, and have no finished structure.

Toured the Kennedy Space Center a couple weeks ago, and our tour guide was talking about this at-length. Said that part of the Orion program (that was scrapped) is going to be re-purposed for commercial space flight (Space X and others are leasing space at the facility). But yeah...it's about on-par with Congress forcing the US military to build a bunch more tanks they don't want/need too. Because, you know, they're the Party of smaller government and the elimination of waste. :hey:

Frankly, yes, I was in favor of a stimulus; but the one they had was administered in an appalling fashion.

I think we should reserve terms like useless for things like Obamacare websites. It soulds like this thing could actually launch a rocket.

I agree. All of those stupid tax rebates could have been put to better use,

You might think so, until you see what they did with the rest of it.
