I know experts and the board have Broncos going QB, but I don't see that at all.  Baker Mayfield is a 22 year old.  I don't see him "sitting and learning".  Keenum's contract almost prohibits them picking a QB anyway..  Of course I don't see Allen at the #3 pick either.  I think he'll drop like a lead balloon.  So I'm all out of whack.

For the sake of this experiment, Nelson vs Chubb is a tough choice.  But Chubb is probably the #1 prospect in the entire draft.  Got to think he's the pick.

Their projected cap space is almost $26m next year. I'm assuming that includes Keenum's contract.

$18m is a lot to you and me but is zero barrier to an NFL team like the Broncos. Especially since rookie contracts aren't nearly the burden they used to be.

I don’t think the Broncos are taking a QB either but if they want to, Keenum’s contract isn’t going to stop them. They could afford to keep him as a backup in year 2 since their starting QB would be ok a rookie contract.
