The list I submitted has a Broadway album. So, no answer then until Dr O has a chance to stop in.
I’m going to get my list in once I have guidance. OH is NOT going to do a list.
Thanks for the update.32 lists in
We now have our 6th #1 album that only appears on that one list - those six 70 pointers are tied for 242nd place. There's a decent chance the ones that don't get a second vote fall out of the Top 300 - but could hold on depending on the number of lists that come in.
Taylor Swift now has more albums represented than AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Doobie Brothers, Neil Diamond and Crosby, Stills, Nash &Young.
1,247 different albums have been selected with 916 of them on only one list.
He also mentioned Google docs. I haven't ever used it, so I have no idea if that's an option for you.He said if you do it in excel just put them in separate columns.@Dr. Octopus The first few times you posted the format, you had hyphens in between album name and artist name, but I could swear later you said not to use the hyphens. Which should I do? Thanks.
Yes, and I’m not doing it in Excel, thanks.
I fully expect that only about 19 of my albums will end up on anyone else's list. We may have to go through them one list at a time to find out. Thanks for the update.32 lists in

Out or curiousity where are the single entry #2’s landing?
By the time every list is in these solo #1 entries may struggle to make the top 300.
Looking forward to the rundown. My top 15 would likely have been solo entries, so only one or two would make the top 300.
Are they on Edison cylinders?...With 2 that precede the 20th century.
After what you wrote, I did a deep dive into what folks on teh net consider the top albums from the 1930s. Some really great and worthy stuff back there, I will have to let you know if any of my guesses are on your list. Sadly, it didn't even occur to me to look that far back.I fully expect that only about 19 of my albums will end up on anyone else's list. (I'm also hoping that my 30's album is the same as the other one.)
I own the one on my list. It's a classic. (But not classical.)After what you wrote, I did a deep dive into what folks on teh net consider the top albums from the 1930s. Pre-20th century? There is only one non-classical artist, I can think of.
If you’re putting in a spreadsheet or Google sheet the hyphens are not necessary. I just put them there as separators for those typing out a list.@Dr. Octopus The first few times you posted the format, you had hyphens in between album name and artist name, but I could swear later you said not to use the hyphens. Which should I do? Thanks.
Still a little timeWish I had had time the last month to put together a list... Will enjoy seeing all of yours
At this point everyone’s Top 8 make the Top 300 without any “help”.Thanks for the update.32 lists in

alf of my stuff will be bottom 300 if it makes it at all.
She has one album cracking the Top 300 at this point.I hate to be a spoiler, but if Taylor Swift is getting lots of love from this group, I think it's pretty obvious that "Kissing to be Clever" is probably going to be the consensus number one.

Like Rob Halford from Judas Priest?I hate to be a spoiler, but if Taylor Swift is getting lots of love from this group, I think it's pretty obvious that "Kissing to be Clever" is probably going to be the consensus number one.
Sorry, I'll go redo my list to only include men and only the manliest ones.![]()
I don't recall how many I albums I started with, but 2 of hers were on there. Neither probably makes my top 100, but I'd have thought about one of them. She has one album cracking the Top 300 at this point.I hate to be a spoiler, but if Taylor Swift is getting lots of love from this group, I think it's pretty obvious that "Kissing to be Clever" is probably going to be the consensus number one.
That would probably constitute spotlighting.is it ok to list my "almost made its"?
is it ok to list my "almost made its"?
after the deadline before the start. i learned that lesson last time. someone reported me.That would probably constitute spotlighting.is it ok to list my "almost made its"?
Based on the timing of a previous post, I believe one of them may be mine.37 lists in and its getting interesting.
Out of nowhere a new album overtakes the #1 overall slot.
The 5 albums ranked #1 by a submitter and not named on any list are clinging onto the Top 300 at #268. These albums will be revealed and it will not be so shocking (with one exception) that these albums do not make the Top 300. Those who love those albums will get their chance to talk about them before the countdown starts.
Now you tell me!!Well I guess it's time to get to work.
I hope the mods told them to f off with that weak saucesomeone reported me.
Are you counting artists who were solo and with various bands separately?List submitted. I haven't been an album guys for years. And even back in the day, a majority of my time was spent listening to unreleased live recordings.
While I have options to listen to whatever album I want to on Spotify, I hardly ever take the opportunity. I've been more interested finding variety, and focusing on few songs here and there from new artists. So my list is by no means a "greatest" or "top ever", it's my favorites, based on what I've actually listened to the most.
33 individual artists.
2 artists with 6 albums each.
3 artists with 5 albums each.
1 artist with 4 albums.
3 artists with 3 albums each.
6 artists with 2 albums each.
18 artists with 1 album each.

I bet I have an album in my 1-10 range that is someone's #1.Ok it ain't perfect or pretty, but it is done.
Here's my summary by decade:
1960s: 7
1970s: 11
1980s: 17
1990s: 21
2000s: 9
2010s: 1
2020s: 2
...With 2 that precede the 20th century.
Predictions:
Someone will have my #20 as their #1
Someone else will have my #1
3 of my top 5 will be in the top 300
I'm going to say 8 of my top 20 will be in the top 300
Finally, I would bet good money that I have one album on my list that no one and I mean no one has ever heard of (both the album and the artist, and it was a produced album, not something self-produced).

I would think in this format (as opposed to the MAD formats) it would make sense to hold off on the just missed callouts until either that particular album gets revealed or until after the top 300 are announced. That would probably constitute spotlighting.is it ok to list my "almost made its"?
And people tell YOU to put the bong downafter the deadline before the start. i learned that lesson last time. someone reported me.That would probably constitute spotlighting.is it ok to list my "almost made its"?What??

18 artists with 1 album each.
For example, if you have a Beatles album, a Wings album, and a Paul McCartney album, would that count as 1 artist with 3 albums or 3 artists with 1 album each?
TIA, will answer yours, gll peas
Hypothetical: am I allowed to give the Liam Neeson speech in Taken to other posters at some point?37 lists in and its getting interesting.

We're gonna need a bigger list.41 lists in
1,527 albums named with 1,125 of them names only on one list.
It's likely going to take an album appearing on at least two lists to make the Top 300 now - the 70 pointers are tied for 300th place now.
